I won’t belabor the point, I’ve already done so in the past, but it’s becoming increasingly clear exactly what that means as “Left” talk jock freneticism notably increases as they fall off the ladder one by one. Like Bill Clinton, each and every one is presently jockeying for position in rarefied television venues. Listen to them, judge their words and tenor by that yardstick, and much becomes evident. Hartmann finally made it, joining faux Lefties Maddow and Schultz - and God only knows how many others - and that lesson has not been lost on any of them. This series shows, though, how shallow that brotherhood is, here as embodied in a person they protect like a fragile egg. Words fail.

A PRELUDE TO "ROB KALL, IDIOT"

The Friend of My Enemy and the Rest of the “Left”

Here's a question for the writers and readers concerned about my 'over-concentration' on "Left" venues versus Right (of which there aren't many and with whom I essentially am not quibbling but nonetheless think they're indulging stilted ideation): Whom, gents and ladies, would *you* investigate as "journalists"? Rush Limbaugh or some other Rightie for doing precisely what you'd expect said asshole to do, which is spout insanity, or would you look into some "Left" figure for ceaselessly weaseling his or her way into fading as far Right as possible because his or her concern isn't news or ideology but only a paycheck every Friday from whatever source will provide it? Which is a more basic journalistic and human concern: scribing about the Right moron doing 100% his brainless beloved schtick or watching as the "Left" persistently violates every principle it claims to observe? It's a very basic inquiry. This is something Journalism 101 fears like the plague, the question "What and where is the motivation?", something the "Left" cannot bear to face. So I’ll ask the “Left” as well: Is all this dodgeball crap, this middle of the road nonsense, this milquetoast gabble you spew daily, carefully heeding reams of taboos, really what you’re all about? And ya needn't answer, as I already know your reply. Silence. Go back to your Captain Crunch.

The upcoming generations don't care about the "Left" precisely because the “Left” doesn't care about them. Radio is a dimension dying with the Boomers because it's been controlled by conservatism - even on the true and quasi-True Left (“Howz it hangin’, KPFK?”) - for far too long. All media is now completely in the grips of business, which is to say: conservatism, as, if you're a conservative, a capitalist, or any of a handful of other sins, you're by any sane definition a conservative. And while you and yours, o media angels, were busy frantically ignoring the mountain of shite piling up daily in your back yard, Gen X, Y, Z, whatever you call them, was just rolling its eyes and moving on. You were nothing more than simulacra of their parents. Expected. Ignored. Boring. Moreover, you probably are their parents. This is why, despite Ernest Canning’s fleering idiocies otherwise, OWS, as just one example, could care less about he and Brad Friedman, as has been well demonstrated save where Friedman could winnow out a hanger-on here and there for face time that both interviewer and interviewee could soft-soap as “vital interest”, "human interest", whatever the buzz phrase is. It wasn't an ideological concern – Friedman being an ardent capitalist has almost nothing in common with the OWS spirit – but a branding exercise. Not that Brad’s the only guilty one, not at all, far from it. So is Malloy an accomplice. His decoy is an OWS guy named ‘Sanchez’. I know Sanchez, he knows me, not directly but we were two of a double handful of callers who used to be regulars on The Red Eye Express, Doug MacIntyre’s show on KABC here in L.A. I got on a lot of other shows as well (Lee Klein’s, Rabbi Mentz’s, Larry Elder’s, Marc Germain’s, Al Rantel’s, a long laundry list of Centrists and Righties I'd usually either fight with [Elder] or debate [the rest]), Sanchez usually wouldn’t, though he’d appear here and there. Good guy, very well meaning, but kind of a one trick pony, and his alliance with Malloy is a trifle unsettling. When Air America turned up, I deserted all those old haunts. Ironically, though, where all the “Leftie” infauxtainers hate my guts and damn me to hell, hilariously call me a "fascist" (Malloy's word), the Centrist/Right guys would defend me on air against detractors, speaking well of my presence in whatever colloquy was under way. I have it on tape. Funny world, no? Then AirAm showed its true colors, KPFK went loony, and I’m now a listener without a station. That’s OWS’ position as well, despite all the remonstrations of the Dems like Malloy, Miller, Rhodes, Hartmann, Friedman et al that the movement is a Democratic one. It ain’t. OWS is a democratic movement while the corporation known as the Democratic Party is not at all democratic, not in the least. If you don’t understand the difference, look first to its ruling elite and then thank Thom Hartmann.

One of the reasons Hartmann confuses semantics continually is because that’s what a Bernaysian does as a life’s profession. Thom persistently speaks in terms of ‘small d democracy’ and ‘big D democracy’ because he can’t bear to face the exceedingly simple fact: there.s neither. It’s a fallacious dichotomy, democracy is a matter of people directly ruling themselves and that’s it. There is no other condition for the condition. If it isn’t a direct arrangement and only a direct arrangement, it’s something other than democracy. Notice, as I’ve expounded endlessly, that in a democracy, there's no external rule, no singled out individuals, no representatives, just the will of the people and nothing else. The most you’d have would be a completely transparent implementational bureaucracy with no lawmaking powers whatsoever. No Congress, no House of Representatives, no President, no more of the rich continuing their reign of unbroken thousands of years of predation via postures of a faux populism that has never existed in America. Ever.

50% + 1 vote would decide in a democracy, and a true democracy would be one in which there is no option not to vote. You'd have to vote - the very condition makes it incumbent, else how could the people (which cannot mean anything other than all the people) rule? - or be fined in some fashion (money, community service, a term of horror such exile to Republicanlandia, something). This is precisely what the rulers fear most, this and nothing else, because they know their long rule of privilege and abuse would disappear almost overnight, in a month at the most. “Lefties” and Lefties have shown for years, though "Lefties" immediately slough responsibility for following out the fact, that the country is actually quite more inclined to progressivism and pure democracy. The present ruling class, Repub and Dem alike, does not under any circumstances want to see that eventuate; thus, ladies and gentlemen, Democrats, so-called Progressive Democrats included, are Republicans. It cannot be otherwise.

Everything they advocate is Republicanism, including our strange representativism called “democracy”. Why, you may ask, would someone like, for instance, Hartmann do this? He seems a nice enough guy, and in fact is, as far as that goes, but the answer is simple: he and almost all the “Left” infauxtainers are members of the 1% and can be expected to defend their class interests at every turn. It’s just the way it is. Nothing could be more plain. The ones who aren’t quite there – Malloy, Friedman, etc. – desire with all their hearts and souls to arrive, which is why they embrace capitalism, as we saw in my colloquy with Friedman-Canning Inc. (Ernie’s now the official “senior legal counsel” or some damn thing over at BradBlog, as Friedman is newly touting him, good grief!), why they love it. It is and has always been solely the provenance of the 1%. They all love it, decidedly Republican emotion, and have a hundred names to gloss the fact: regulated capitalism, humane capitalism, democratic socialism, socialized democracy, Malloy socialism, velvet revolutionism, blah, blah, blah. Those who dwell in the middle class and think they're capitalists aren't seeing things very clearly: small businesses, by and large, are just the management system for funneling money to the rich. Even my high school students understand that much. But an adult? Give him a title ("entrepreneur") and pat him on the head, and you have a very willing slave.

It all boils down to just one thing: money. Fuck ideals, screw justice, trash fairness, just gimme da money, bub. Waddaya want me to say, I’ll say it; wadda ya want me to do, I’ll do it. Gimme…da…money...dammit!!!

Every generation is supposed to rebel against its progenitors, that's what evolution is, a dissatisfaction with the way of things and then change, but the Baby Boomers have anally held on to power instead of passing it. Yep, just like their parents, and so: all the so-called wisdom?, the concerns?, the questionable ethicality and vaunted "journalism”? What has that brought the later generations? Not much, perhaps absolutely nothing that can…no, hold on a second, I take that back: it's brought decadence and retrogression.

Take a look at the job market, at what kids have to now settle for, if they can get any job at all, and at what the prospects are for their lives for quite some time to come, maybe the entirety of their existence. None of that future misery is their fault, it's ours. Thanks, Democrats, liberals, progressives, velvet revolutionaries. While you were busy looking the other way, kissing the Masters' fetid sphincter, stabbing everyone in sight in the back for a promotion and a smidgeon of air time, having the maid or the in-laws raise the progeny, trotting from one patroned event to the next, one circus of the rich to another for face time in building a media career, they've been on the receiving end, and they’re starting to understand what that means. They may not say so, and thus you’re warm in your cocoon for a little while longer, but they know or are very very close to it. God help you and the regime when they wake up…as we, most of us anyway, did not.

And many of us are so wrapped up in our own bullshit that we think they're ungrateful. We don't see the rather well defined photograph of our fathers and mothers when we look in the mirror. We haven’t the faintest of how horrifically we've become like mere and pere, or how our children are our long-lost selves inveighing against a generation of zombies, corporate robots, capitalist vampires, the unhumans who long ago sold their parental souls for a company dollar - us. We lie to ourselves that we haven't done any of that, but we know damn well that that itself is The Big Lie. Our children know us better than we do. And we look to the "Left" for succor? Don't make me laugh. They wnat to keep it going...just tinker with it a trifle...so that certain of the "deserving" get a leg up a little better.

Here's why I hack the "Left": they not only deserve it, they need it. For about a decade now, starting in OEN, I was warning of what was coming. It's now here. It was the plainest writing on the wall I'd ever seen in my life, but the “Left” was completely blind to it. The one and only stab at a vaguely decent forum, Air America, was a shithole of horrifically bad business management from the founders, the Drobnys, and a landscape the “Left” could've…well, if not rescued, then at least brought under scrutiny and to task in order not have it collapse entirely, yet not a syllable was uttered. For love of money, and only for that, “Lefties” brought down their own empire by doing exactly nothing, turning a blind eye at every given contravention of sound policy, at every criminality (lot of that going on), at every betrayal of ethicality and rectitude.

For revealing all this, I and others were peripheralized. Not unexpectedly, but we were. Where once we earned the accolades of these idiots, we were now ostracized, dangerous to the security of Paycheck Friday. In our "audacity", we’d pulled up the rug and shown what was being swept under. After first hearing warmly from all of ‘em - Rhodes, Maddow, Schultz (via idiot bun boy James Holme), Jones, Malloy, Friedman, on and on and on and on - I and confreres were persona non grata...thank Christ. We’d breached the taboo: the front offices, any front offices (incl. Rob Kall and OEN), were untouchable, and so backs turned in unison, fearful. For me, the separation began early on when, baffled as to what was going on, I asked various infauxtainers for whatever data they might have about this Kall guy, 'cause the environment I was operating within was getting weirder and more toxic by the day. I needed a bit of their so-called "journalism", their ballyhooed "Leftie" willingness to help out, their sense of honor.

You know what I got in return.

Here's something you mightn’t understand, though: I'm not complaining, I'm really not, I'm just reporting…in the first person, something radio "Lefties" tends to eschew unless it’s to brand themselves. I was there - on the edges, sure, but there. It was necessary to go through events in order to truly see what was what. I could no more have avoided it than breath air. Unlike the radio gaggle, however, I stuck to principles and received the consequences amid a sea of weasels. I wasn't going to become one of them or at one with them. Never going to happen; thus, the succeeding events were entirely proper. They couldn’t possibly have been otherwise because the "Left" is what it is. I received a crash course in that reality. I'm actually appreciative, thankful, the imbroglio saved a hell of a lot of the time it would have taken to come to the understanding had I remained in situ as, like them, a potentially useful tool for the Democrat Party.

The most telling incident was with Mike Malloy. He'd subscribed to V.V. from Day One and sent more than one e-mail telling me how much he "fucking loved Veritas Vampirus!!!!!!!!!! [exclamatory emphasis his]", proof of which I still have in the e-roster should he or any care to dispute this. It was sent while I was tearing into the entire AirAm fiasco. He was loving it. I was saying shit he didn't dare, and he wanted to forward some info so I could keep doing his job for him, first relaying his personal phone number. If you doubt, just ask him. We agreed on a time to talk. I called, we chatted, he gave me some quite good data and, pushing my luck, I asked "Hey, Mike, what’s the deal with Rob Kall. What do you know of him?"

"Nothing," came the suddenly bland reply, "haven’t a clue who the guy is."

"Hmmmm, well he's running a quote from you lauding him and his publication on his masthead."

"Yeah, I’d heard about that. The only thing I can guess is that I must've commented positively on some article he ran on his site. I get that all the time. Lots of people run quotes from me."

"You don't have any data otherwise?"

"No, sorry, pal, I don't. Hey, I gotta go! I have Kathy and Molly in the car, and I gotta take the next turn-off to get to [wherever it was]. It's been nice talking to you. Take care. Bye."

Unfortunately for Mike, he wasn't the only infauxtainer helping me expose AirAm - and I've since been reliably informed that I'm on quite a few prominent "Lefties" black lists for that series. More, a certain individual he knows very well warned me at the time that I needed to "dig a little deeper. Malloy is most definitely very very very aware of OEN. He is in fact a staff member".

OUCH!! Hoisted on my own petard! But she was right. I hadn't done my homework completely. I hadn't checked what probably should have been obvious. I hadn't asked the Where? question: Where else was Malloy appearing? Was he in any way involved with OEN? And, of course, he was. He was a staff member and columnist, had already written quite a few articles, with me, blush!, completely unaware. Kathy was involved as well. Hoo boy, was my face crimson! It just didn't occur to me, and it should've. The most immediate excuse I could offer was that, frankly, I’d read almost nothing in OEN even while I was writing there. The fare was just too horribly ill-written, most prominently Kall’s. I mean, when an idiot like Andrew “Bard” Schmookler is one of the crown royals, you know you're on a really questionable cruise. If anything was originally published in OEN, I avoided it.

I made no mystery to Kall or to any that I was not a staff member, would not contribute money, and did not care for much of what was written there. That kind of honesty doesn't earn friends, but I wasn't out to become friends with anyone there, most definitely not Kall. Mike and he could play grab-ass all they wanted, I quickly learned what a schmoe the publisher was and avoided the simple-ass bastard the best I could. I just wanted a forum, he liked my writing, I brought him a lot of readers, I imagined I could operate without interference when he gave me the absolute top clearance possible to write as I pleased without editorial oversight, so I settled for that. I know he says otherwise now in order to cover his ass, but no one's checked the record - when they to do so, all my accusations in every respect will be immediately validated.

What, in essence, was the upshot of it all, then? I learned that the "Left" radio cadre is just what it should, and can't help but, be: employees, nothing more,nothing less, functionaries for the paymaster. That's all they ever are, that's all they ever have been, that's all they ever will be. Worse, that's all they want to be: good little employees getting the scheduled checks, the scheduled raises, the scheduled promotions, etc. God help the individual who comes between them and their provenance.

And they're anyone's idols?

That's the site that said that everyone was unjustly banned from OEN except me, that it was right of Rob to ban me because Rady was one of the editors who voted unanimously that I be banned. Later Rady was also banned from OEN, but since Rady wasn't me, and I'm the only one who wasn't banned unjustly, Rady's banning was unjust. And, if I recall correctly, coto modeled itself after OEN, began banning people just like OEN, and also banned Rady.

Glancing through the comments, I saw the self-styled Conservative Tom Murphy who is as distinguishable from the OEN and coto liberals and progressives as Obama is from Bush.

Veritas Vampirus is the antidote to idiocy.

But rady may have been reinstated. I didn't go back, so I don't know.

Rady's a good writer and has written some excellent articles, but I haven't linked to them or reposted them here on Fubar because I don't want to promote somebody who not only voted to ban me from OEN, but later, after having been banned themself, continued to insist that I was the ONLY person that Rob had been justified in banning--that EVERYONE else except me had been unjustly banned--so as not have to admit that it had been wrong to vote to ban me, even if all the other editors did it and refusing to do it would have cost Rady the editorial position on OEN that Rady ended up losing anyway.

Like Mark S. Tucker, I do hold a grudge.

ROB KALL, IDIOT – Pt. 8

Just One Moron, The True Face of the Entire “Left”

That odd pseudo-religious, not-even-quasi-psychological, fully exploitationary hunting ground was the everyday environment of such as The Kall, the dark recess that bottom feeders prowl in order to locate prey - female, writer, or otherwise - and, as you read the patter transposed from OEN below, see if you can find the correllates you’d run across at teddy bear pow-wows:

If you’re female, you already know the watering hole patter; if you’re male and never indulged disco consciousness, ask a woman who has, and you’ll discover the translations. Rob Kall’s entire life has been that of the businessman: going from prey site to prey site to prey site. His staff is the result of his successes, his motley victories, and, one way or another, some of the indenturees eventually wake up and leave, which means that the slave galley needs replenishing from time to time...ever more frequently as Kall's degeneracy increases. That’s what you pay for when you contribute to OpEdNews.com, but here’s an interesting wrinkle:

We already know that half or more of the annual take goes straight to Kall as pay. The imputation is that the rest of the money goes into OEN…but that’s a tricky proposition. Look at the staggering array of trips he takes week after week after month after year. Those aren’t paid for from what he puts in his pocket, they come out of the other half. Thus, how much of each dollar sent to OEN truly doesn’t go to Kall and his sybaritisms? Think about it. The guy patterned his operation after the typical charity Ponzi scheme. We know what that entails, and, appropriately, OEN readers were growing equally cognizant.

On 6/4/11, Kall, fretting half to death while remarking about half the expected shekel quota coming in and defaulting to his squalling ego problems, ran photo-listings of nine of his self-written articles and interviews…and no one else's. Bottom-up? On 6/6/11, despite what he’d said was an increased severity in dwindling funds, he was off to NYC yet again, “to attend Personal Democracy Forum 2011…on the intersections of Politics, Media, Government and new media”, thenceafter to meet with “some young turk [sic] web millionaires” (reported on 6/12) because he was interested in “the people who fight so hard to block tax increases on the rich”.

He was envious that they’d “figured out how to use the web to make a lot of money” and wanted in on the secrets. This was hidden under patter. But elsewhere, he now considered “more than ever that we should go back to the taxes that existed under Dwight Eisenhower” and that had been exacted from “wealthy, greedy, selfish people”, the sort he was progenied by and had existed among all his life…which kinda outed him and his, so he rushed to assure us that “[t]here are wealthy people who do good, who support visionary, future-supporting policies” and that “[n]ot all of the wealthy are greedy or against the middle class, or a bright American future”, meaning, of course, him in his fantasies if he could only figure out a way to first screw everyone in sight, get filthy rich and then…well, he wants you to believe he’d turn into a white hat. That said, he let us know that “[w]e need to work together to fight this short sighted, selfish greed. OEN does it every day. We do it with the help of generous supporters who believe in our work and show it by making tax deductible donations”.

Kinda incredible that no one cut his head off for that, but none did. Note that “we”, however. It translates as “you”, and the “we need to work together to fight this short-sighted greed” means “you need to give me money so I can sate my greed and avoid having to get a real job”. On 6/16/11, the “we” underwent a slight modification as again “a lot of people [had] been asking [him] about the history of opednews.com [sic]”. Translation: no one had been asking anything. This was a new intro to the gelt pitch, projecting his need into your non-existent concern. What followed was the usual set of fantasies, all of which somehow inexplicably added up to “We hear almost every day that people value, even love opednews.com [sic] and we hear regularly that we're making a difference”. Really? Then why were visitation and contribution stats down month after month after month? Why was each week’s gelt pitch ever more desperate and shrill?

Next we were given the Jimmy Stewart line. “It feels great to walk the halls of congress [sic] and know that many congressional [sic] staffers know our site and some read it daily”, said Kall, naming not one of those illusionary big-wig readers because he couldn’t, there were none. The bottom-up gig wasn’t going so well either, forcing Kall to pen “When I say "we" I mean WE”, and watch how this one goes:

“OEN couldn't run without the dedication and commitment of our team of volunteer editors. The first two were Amanda Lang, then Joan Brunwasser. They're still with us, six years later. As we continued to grow, I established several tiers of editors - four managing editors (Cheryl Biren, Mikhail Lyubansky, Linda Milazzo and John Moffett) at the innermost circle and five more senior editors (Scott Baker, Walt Brasch, Joan Brunwasser, Josh Mitteldorf and Sheila Samples, making nine, or ten, including me, people in what I call the senior team. Then there are over 30 additional ‘line’ editors who help with the queue, posting reprints, helping newbies.”

Kall’s not the brightest creature Yahweh placed on Earth. He never seems to understand how often he pulls his toddler shorts down to show his little eenis. If OEN’s the bottom-up org he ceaselessly brays it is, how was it that he got to decide how the layers of editors ran and who populated them? Who placed Rob Kall in the senior stratum? Who decided that should occur, OEN being a bottom-up function? And who okayed his deprecating use of “newbies” in regard of the new influx of slaves? Aren’t bottom-up’ers aware of how belittlingly revealing that is? More to the point, how do you have an “inner circle” or more than one of them when everything is "bottom up"? Isn’t the rank and file the true “inner circle”?...er, though that's a phrase that can never be rightly applied to any bottom-up situation. Our boy Kall needn’t utter more than three syllables to commence contradicting himself.

Look even more carefully. He claims several layer of editors, but there are only three. Words matter: one is ‘one’, two is ‘a couple’, three is ‘a few’, four or more is ‘several’, and after about seven or eight, there are ‘many’. No big deal, but words matter, and there are reasons for distortions. In all, though, we find that OEN, or so Kall ceaselessly avers, has at least 40 editors. Talk about top-heavy management! 40 damn editors and OEN is still the piece of shit it is? That’s because there’s no least fraction of bottom-up’ing at OEN, the entire illusion just a foil for Da Boss, Rob Kall, a shambling, opportunistic, predatory, narcissistic, halfwitted, Republican asshole, the kind of masquerading am-I-a-Liberal-or-am-I-not? pseud Phil Hendrie loves to play at until the time is ripe to run back to the Republicanism he really cherishes.

Rob-O’s not overstating things when he claims that “[i]t's amazing that it all works”, as truer words ne’er were spoke. I boggle that the damned thing has made it as many years as it has, a unique display of the snail’s pace at which corruption and decay can run but an even more blatant proof of the complete vacancy of the “Left”, not to mention the American public.

After that, what more can I say?

RUSH LIMBAUGH, GENIUS - PT. 2

Why the "Left" is the "Left":

It's actually not Choice, it's Incapacity

I'm running this Stepford item and it's extrapolation well out of sequence, as a follow-on to “Rush Limbaugh, Genius- Pt. 1”. It purveys a fact or set of facts that have only just now knocked on my door, inserted here so that it might enhance things when I resume the regular Stepford chronicles next issue.

5/31/12, Rush Limbaugh Show: Limbaugh, who never ceases to impress as clearly the #1 figure in the Infauxtaining Brotherhood, is going to be the leading edge in ramping up blaming the NuDepression on Obama (and, goddammit, wouldn't it figure that the obese blatherer would present "Lefties" with a dilemma they're going to be hard-put to argue, even though it's in essence wrong). This has been so for a while now, in alignment with the usual gaggle of idiots: Drudge et al. It'll be interesting to see if the Right gets away with this, but it probably will, as the invertebrate class of coelenterates known as 'Democrats' not only doesn't know how to fight but is being sternly paid…er, I mean "warned"…not to. But the they also have no intention of sponsoring a dog in the fight, right from the moment they peruse those huge payoffs to investments made in everything that's killing us (hey, Harman, Boxer, Feinstein, Winograd, care to hip us up to that?).

I often and with good reason note Mike Malloy as the "the Left's Limbaugh" due to sundry theatrical components, but Malloy's show is chiefly a comedy gig, him going predictably insane like rhythmic clockwork, raving like a maniac on cue in SNL skit after SNL skit. The interesting thing is that it's as much schtick as it is a part of Malloy's troubled, hyper-intolerant, almost schizophrenic personality (darkly, his rhetoric points towards at least one very troubling probability, which I've hinted at in the past and which no one appears to quite be picking up on…or are indeed aware of and, like me, remain quiet because it's disquieting, the sort of thing you accuse no one of without absolute proof). Those two traits - one well planned, the other not - match Limbaugh's, but that's not enough to best El Rushbo. You have to overmatch him in order to win. That is, you have to have control where he does not. So Mike's out.

I'm afraid I have to note that the "Left" actually has no talent the equal of Limbaugh………except perhaps Keith Olberman, and I'm not entirely sure Olberman has that sufficiently and uncompromisedly enough either. Everything so far indicates he's as much a prima donna and self-worshipper, both of which are incandescent signals to personality disorders, as Rush, but there's a reason the entire "Left" Infauxtaining Brotherhood loves, fears, and loathes Olberman: he was and is their superior in just about every single way. That’s what leads me to believe he's the only candidate to destroy Limbaugh, should he ever dare, which he won’t, so it's a dead issue.

The radio / TV "Left" is patently unable to take on and liquidate Rush, else it would've done so long ago, QED. Limbaugh's talent lies in his ability to spew a stream of unending lies that’s truly impressive not just for its prolificity but also for the deep background of knowledge it takes to be able to tie it everything into a webwork that has no apparent holes (the adjective "apparent" is the key: you have to know your audience's knowledge limits intimately to pull it off as Limbaugh has). I hate to say this, but I have to suspect Limbaugh has an intelligence the equal of Thom Hartmann's, who is easily the brainiest of the entire "Left" array of infauxtainers. Only that would explain the celerity with which Rush remains aware of the complicated skein of his own fabrications (and, not coincidentally, Thom the construction of his own), which is highly impressive and which he uses adeptly. The daily repetition is probably the key. Karl Rove is another in the genetic line, a fat squalling ball of rage and self-loathing with a talent he exploits with daunting acumen. The "Left" has no Karl Rove either. Uh-oh…what is this leading towards?

We already know the "Left" has neither balls nor spine, could it be that, as well, it lacks even the intelligence it imagines it possesses? This is just as disturbing as Malloy's own defects. Is it possible the "Left" is not winning the fight because it literally cannot, because it lacks not only the wherewithal but the brainpower, thus undone as it lurks in the shadows of Limbaugh, Rove, Beck, O'Reilly, etc.? The latter are all lunatics, without question, but, after years spent “among” the “Left”, one begins to understand that they're certainly not all they crack themselves up to be either.

It’s disturbing, yet that’s the conclusion one must to come to as one first listens analytically to Limbaugh and then a little more critically to the “Left”. Infauxtainers, writers, and lookers-on have already well noted "Lefties" will, for one, stab you in the back at the drop of a hat. The history is profuse, clear, irrefutable, and perhaps no better shown than in the Ferrarro / Clinton / Air America / Rhodes incident wherein not one infauxtainer offered an atom of aid beyond glib mouthed sympathies…few offered even that. The entire tribe sat back gleefully, slavering, rooting for her enemies, waiting to jockey for the soon to be vacated slot. Career is, after all, the living beating heart of the klatsch. Of course, it was also true that Rhodes was and is despised, disliked, or just ignored among peers, and with good reason, but it’s just as true that very few of the infauxtainers get along with each other, so this matter isn’t exactly new, novel, controversial, or occult. Many nasty little snide incidents have been noted in V.V. since Issue 1. But, following on that, there’s more: the “Left”fauxtainers will protect anyone or anything, no matter how foul, which projects a career-enhancing possibility. They’ll also lie like rugs; among myriad other repugnant traits, characteristics fully in solidarity with Righties. It’s just a matter of degree…and that’s where the audience’s dilemma lies. And when I say “the audience”, I mean all of us, myself included.

It has become increasingly apparent to me that I’ve been been a victim of vestiges of my own Ivory Tower complexes – or rather, the repeating Ivory Tower mindset we’ve all been well indoctrinated to accept and curry as recipients of the Bernaysian cult of personality process so important to the advertising protocols composing our mental landscapes. That’s what ‘branding’ really is: the seeding, development, and maintenance of a set of lies purporting to distinguish one product (in this case: an infauxtainer) from another or one manufacturer (in this case: a political Party or a splinter of it) from another. Yet, as we all know, once you escape that bizarre hallucinatory environment, there’s very little difference ‘twixt one product and the next. This I why the true Left is ignored and the fake infauxtaining “Left" they and theirs calling themselves “progressives”, “liberals”, whatever, but people who, in rare moments, admit they’re Centrists – except for the more feverishly deluded like Malloy. The process, however, falls to pieces if there are indeed marked definitions between one choice and the other because people too easily understand the superiority of one over the other in such circumstances. Hence, any true threat of competition (in this case, actually no competition at all but rather just exposure of superiority) must be sidelined at all costs lest the entire multifaceted marketing scheme of differences without significance go under.

For my part, I’ve come to understand that my previous estimation of the radio "Left's" intelligence was way off, and should have been vastly lower than I'd assumed. That realization has been proven ever more true daily, especially lately. After wrangling with the surprising obduracy of Friedman & Canning Inc. re: democracy, voting, and other matters; after watching in astonishment as Friedman vilified Mark E. Smith not for any legitimate reason but rather to dogpile a superior line of reasoning time after time, smothering verities that threatened to reveal his, Friedman’s, true mindset and allegiances to Dem machineries; after wrangling with Malloy; after disappointment after disappointment with Harrison; while listening to Rhodes melt down pathetically; after hearing Miller's strained and renewed Obama uber-patriotism; while listening to John Fugelsang, Hal Sparks, Rick Overton, and intelligent comedians who used to actually be pariahs and are now tamed dogs (I mean, Christ!, Overton even tried chivying Dennis Miller back into the “Left” fold; Gawd almighty!) abet Steph's pom-pom delusions; after watching as the top talent (Maron, Garofalo, etc.) was exiled, fired, or marginalized; I'm afraid I now am forced to understand that my suppositions have been the true-est problem in the equation, even despite many pointed japes and criticisms in that direction, and that all these innumerable self-initiated confrontations with the "Left", fights enacted to determine just where it really lives, have disgorged some very very VERY depressing realities, truths even I wasn't prepared to face, didn’t really *want* to face, until they became all too plain, which they now have. This may initially seem redundant, given that V.V. has worked that angle since Day One, but what ceaselessly chagrins me is the depth to which this cadre has either plummeted or has occupied all the while, me incognizant of the likelimost latter.

"Lefties" aren't winning the fight because they can't. As said, they don’t even know *how* to fight. Simple, really, when you look at it in such basic terms and realities, but now I know why. They haven't the brain power, the talent, the perspicacity, or the back bone, let alone self-awareness. Amusing, really, because the tribe trumpets endlessly that it’s superior in every way, but, plainly, it is not, actually only slightly evolved from Republicanism. In some ways, that’s worse than the Righties because the sad truth is that ‘Centrist’ is just a synonym for ‘mediocre’, a matter of hanging indecisively between good and evil, not sure which presents the better possibilities, who has the best pay packets and benefit plans.

Probably what indemnified that for me most was shown in the recent fracas with Friedman and Canning as they attempted a defense of a truly bizarre perversion of democracy (that it indeed exists and that we live in it is irrelevant: the very point of all I inveigh against is that it does exist, that we do live in it, and that it's NOT democracy nor is democracy achievable so long as idiots, having been lied to since 3rd grade Civics classes, understand it to be republicanism). It baffles and shakes me a bit even to this day. Either they truly believe their perverted positions, which is unnerving, or they don’t but pose matters that way in order to please their patrons, which is only slightly less chilling. The stigma, though, lies only in my earlier assumption of their intelligence, which has plainly proven to have been far overshot. In fact, such republican claims can only come from Republican conceits, and that's another very troubling matter.

Most if not all of the Infauxtaining Brotherhood top dogs were in fact conservatives: Hartman was a Bircher, Rhodes and Schultz conservatives, etc. ad nauseum. The pretenders to the top slots are less thickly populated of such backgrounds – Malloy, for instance appears to have always been Centrist (a Democrat), but that’s not very far from the Right, and I wouldn’t be too surprised if even he had a skeleton in the closet. And, of course, the bottom feeders are likewise: though he flees the interview the moment the question comes up, it’s glaringly obvious Rob Kall was the most onerous of conservatives. Thus, I'm now very very curious if Friedman hasn't a set of bones in his own ample closet. And, sure, they’re all reputedly now contrite, but here’s what each and every one is meaningfully avoiding: how the past affects the present, how it shaped their entire personnas. Then, as a parting gift, there's the fact that the Democrats - NuRepublicans, novo-conservatives, whatever you want to term them - are the replacements for the Republican Party dying so messily, and each and every one of The Brotherhood is a card-carrying Dem.

Sigh! It just never ends, does it? I've pored over all this many times, but I've never linked everything up quite as directly as I now am……and that's a matter of inches making all the difference in the world. I quess I understood it deep down, after CNS long ago sent me all those great True Left essays because a genuine wayseer, or whatever fruity moniker we want to hang on such consciousness, cannot remain in camp with self-deludeds once he or she begins to wake up again – and again and again - so I left. Ya gotta move on or doom yourself to the stale mediocrities that always come of remaining in place too long. The "Left" has no interest whatsoever in vacating its self-wounding facilisms…

…except Malloy, who I still aver would be the only one who might arrive at true Leftism despite a chilling tonnage of baggage weighing him down abysmally. Yeah, I agree: highly unlikely, but as comedians tersely snark: it could happen. Or maybe I’m defaulting to Ivory Towering again.

The past does indeed influence the present. It’s insidious.

HINT, TEASE, 'N TICKLE DEPT.: I don't want to jinx things any by saying more than I should at the moment, but one of my multi-segmented Veritas articles will be appearing in an upcoming quite prestigious brainiac journal. I'm extremely gratified by this. Not sure when that will occur, so I won't say more until I know definitely and then will give the readership a heads-up. I'll also be appearing in a film that a local auteur will be starting production on before too long. Not sure when, everything is still tentative in several respects - you know how the film industry is - but it looks pretty good. Keep in mind that Quentin Tarantino once worked not far from my home, was an indy, and I used to talk with him before he was a Big Deal, so SoCal's South Bay, adjacent to Hollywood as it is, seems to be a minor hotbed of such talent.

Put on Your Tie and Tux…'n then Eat 'Em

1/15/12 - In a recent attempt to see if Brad Freidman and Ernest Canning mightn't possess some degree of basic semantic savvy, I ran into the usual Centrist miasma of conditioned reflex and textual rote. A democracy, opined Canning, is actually a republic - or whatever his gibberish was indicating, kinda hard to tell in the slippery swamp of BradBlog dogpiling, demogoguery, and deception – but (or so it was claimed by Canning, Friedman, and some of the trolls who lurk in the site, esp. some fey clown pseudonymed The Lasagna, The Manicotti, The Limp Noodle, something like that) it couldn't possibly be what the etymological root of the term denotes: rule by all. That was out of the question, outlandish, and only a "linguistic purist" would dare deny Canning's assertion of…whatever it was.

Well, Brad and Ernie kinda have some distinguished company. Jonathan Turley, a noted Constitutional lawyer, penned an article, "The US Is No Longer the Land of the Free" (1/15/12, Reader Supprted News)…

…in which, while decrying the NDAA, he refers to a historic incident mentioned also by me in a recent tet a tet with FCI (Friedman-Canning Inc.). At the tail end of a list of fascisms freely practiced by Barack Obama, instituted by George Bush II, Turley notes that "[a]n authoritarian nation is defined not just by the use of authoritarian powers, but by the ability to use them [ED: a multiplicity with no distinctions]. If a president can take away your freedom or your life on his own authority, all rights become little more than a discretionary grant subject to executive will", a nicely phrased verity that actually hides more than Turley himself noted.

The next paragraph tells us that "[t]he framers lived under autocratic rule and understood this danger better than we do. James Madison famously warned that we needed a system that did not depend on the good intentions or motivations of our rulers: 'If men were angels, no government would be necessary' ", which, though Turley did not pause to say so, tells us a bit about Madison's fundamentalist view of his fellow man while containing an irony: where might the non-angels most likely dwell, in the halls of power or the home fires of the rabble? And, if in both places, where might they be freer to do their ill? The answer, of course, would hit a little closer to home than Jimmy Mad cared to tread.

"Benjamin Franklin," continues Turley, referring to a citation I forwarded to Canning, "was more direct. In 1787, a Mrs. Powel confronted Franklin after the signing of the Constitution and asked, 'Well, Doctor, what have we got - a republic or a monarchy?' His response was a bit chilling: 'A republic, Madam, if you can keep it.' " And Franklin's response, as I myself have noted for years, was indeed "a bit cilling", but not in the way Turley means. Jonny’s referring to Benny's casting of responsibility to the people and away from himself and the rulers, a decidedly Republican stratagem, but true glaciality derives in Franklin’s not breathing a word about a democracy, especially not the style he and compeers had seen in the Native tribes, thereafter concerned about its implications and about extrapolations from their readings of Roman philosophers, understanding exactly what 'democracy' means: everyone rules, not just the advantaged. They, our Founders, were having none of that.

As we've seen, Franklin's hidden agenda - and Jeffy's and Georgie's and all the others' - has borne the fruit it was intended to and has done so without obstacle, as, returning again to Turley, "since 9/11, we have created the very government the framers feared: a government with sweeping and largely unchecked powers resting on the hope that they will be used wisely". We'll unpack that a bit.

Turley prefers not to heed the fact that all government is forever created only by the rich and powerful, the infinitesimally few, for their aggrandizement. Blindness to this emanates for Turley, as it does for Friedman and Canning, from a schooling wherein a good deal of everything one needs to know is right there in front of one, though one cannot read it properly due to conditioning wrought by capitalist influences from womb to tomb. Minds must win free of that, which some few do but most don't - Turley, Friedman, and Canning among the latter. How can Turley hope that unlimited power will be used "wisely" by the insane, as indeed merely the desire to rule is one of many cardinal points of lunacy, a fanaticism for control masking deep-seated fears? Scholar he may be, philosopher he ain't. This is very basic stuff, and he's thoroughly incognizant of it.

Turley, Friedman, and Canning see the Founders as saints - or, to use Hartmann's excusatory terminology, "flawed saints" or whatever the latest wrinkle on the gig is - but they were not. They were bastards to one degree or another. The only real Founder was Thomas Paine, which I've pursued, and he was ostracized as soon as possible by Jefferson & Co. Our present day writers all like to mistake the intelligence of the Jeffersonian Founders for angelicism, but I hasten to note, as C.S. Lewis pointed out among myriad other scribes, the devil hath wit and powers, y'all, to fashion a pleasing countenance – and if he doesn’t, dipshit scribes will cover his ass - and this is really what they're gazing into. The Founders were in fact monsters along the lines of Columbus, Jefferson perhaps even surpassing Chris when one considers his genocidal nature re: the Natives he so hypocritically professed to admire unreservedly.

Note, too, Turley's "we" in "we have created the government the Founders feared". Who's the "we"? Why, we’d be told by him, the very sector Franklin was condescending to in the person of Mrs. Powel: the people, the unwashed that the rulers always either find convenient to their purposes or else loathe or both. But is that really the case? Did "we the people" make all this? Of course not. To deem it so is Republican in extremis - though, ironically, this time the NuRepublicanism of the Democrats. Birchers and other Repubs would fall unapologetically on the godhood of the governors, not the governed; so too Dems, right from the start, under whatever rubric was “progressive” at the time.

Makes ya think, dunnit?

Are we beginning to see more clearly why words are important? Turley's arguing circularly and obscurely, the latter giving power to the former, erasing meaning in everything. "We the people", I hope I do not need to emphasize too damn strongly here, create nothing when it comes to government, NOTHING, only what The Masters allow after indoctrination within a dualistic structure arising from a single source and bound within the emptily illusory act of voting. We do not have democracy, never had, and never will until true democracy, which is anarchy, which is rule by all, eventuates after some future revolution. What, then, in hell are Turley, Friedman, Canning and etc. arguing in favor of?

In other words, we’ve come to that ancient impasse once again. The Second American Revolution - what I see as the precursor to the Second Florentine Renaissance - is at hand, or we are doomed. All the Centrist radio and television infauxtainers (there are NO Left infauxtainers, all are either Right or Centrist) aid the Right by holding the middle. There is no change to be had there. It will, just like the first Revolution, which gave us the stolen land we so dote upon, have to be violent or it will not be at all. I wish it were otherwise, but, after long thought, I see no chance at a peaceful revolution, which would have to be educative, which would take far too long nor am I so certain the American people are capable of it, all indicators flowing in the other direction. This is why Rhodes, (especially), Hartmann, and the radio kindred are so busy informing us either that "things are MUCH better!!!" (Rhodes) or that "real change is just around the corner, only it won't come from our leaders, it'll come from you - tag, you're it!" (Hartmann) while the rest to varying degree timidly approach the outskirts of some distant brand of twisted “reality”. This is a freezing motion, an arrest of the same creeping awareness that so affrighted The Masters at various junctures but especially as capitalism worked its invariable destructions, to the governing body's, the rich’s, and the business community's delight.

In fact, things are NOT getting better, they grow worse by the day, fresh hells arising hourly, most of us blind since the consolidation and near monopolization of all major media. Something I predicted years ago, a rather terrifying seminal event that forebodes nothing but unstoppable misery, has just begun - not on these shores but even more insidious than NDAA - and if it isn't sufficient to wake people up, I'm not sure anything else will be: India has just initiated the inculcation of the first cashless society. If Matrix there is to be, we’re seeing it's foundation right there.

Katherine Albrecht used to subscribe to Veritas Vampirus (just ask her, she's somewhat honest, she'll probably admit to it) but cancelled because I was predicting such things, *even though* they're directly in line with her own rightful RFID paranoia. The idea of a cashless society was a bridge too far for her, so she asked to be de-subscribed, citing my work as "just too depressing and rancorous"…quite rightly in both cases. Now, however, as shown in Coast 2 Coast appearances, she's switched horses in mid-stream and agrees with me…distantly.

Brad Friedman finds his nametag as a journalist a glorious thing while frequently, hilariously to my mind, accusing me of savaging journalistic precepts and such, whatever those may be in an age such as ours. He, too, is dead on. I have quite little respect for what is called journalism and what are called journalists. Though this is not surprising to the V.V. audience, I'll make the reason more evident as I proceed in the new year but also when I, maybe this summer, hope to start a website to reform the art of criticism, the foundation of which will be "If you write under anyone's control or aegis but your own, you are not whatever you say you are unless confessing to be a paid scribe with controls". I'm also looking at putting the entire 670+ issue run of V.V. on line, as there has been an interest in readers looking backwards at the many documentations I've archived of "Lefty" infauxtainers and their ceaseless position reversals on many many issues. Cary Harrison was going to carry V.V. on his site, under a sub-section to be named 'Brain Trustees" - he wanted Veritas to be the kick-off feature - but, after well over a year of averring so, suddenly went silent for almost an equal period and the imputed inclusion has not occurred. I'm informed that I insulted one of his many patrons and was kiboshed on the QT for it. Ah well, maybe this is so and maybe not - ask him, no me; like Albrecht, he's fairly honest and may indeed admit this is so. To be honest, I don’t expect much from any of these people, and the offer hardly formed what anyone would mistake as a burning ambition. If you want something done properly, never trust a "Leftie".

For readers who persistantly ask why I'm not quoted by infauxtainers while vastly inferior scribes are lauded - well, you might want to inspect your own question. It nakedly contains the answer. Nonetheless, my own case started with Mike Malloy being warned by Rob Kall and others to never do so, and Mike’s a good little gopher, a loyal little Democrat (corporate) whore, as are they all, taking orders from many directions. That alone should disclose very good reason why I'm not referred to. Over the years, as various other infauxtainers became interested, the exact same circumstances repeated time after time: expression of delight with V.V., interest in working together informally or formally, proposal of a plan, then sudden silence. Obviously, nothing has changed in me, I've always written as incendiarily as I have since issue #1 years ago, so I'll leave the reader to decide what might be transpiring behind the scenes.

When it comes to ideology and fact, though, what typifies alleged journalists is not their fidelity to a set of oft questionable ideals set within various credos but their complete lack of imagination and concurrent impotence as futurists, projective thinkers, critical analysts, truly human beings. That this be recognized now is crucial. As so-called journalists adumbrate projective minds and comprehensivists - what they call 'conspiracy theorists' but are actually conspiracy *researchers* (and there's an ocean of difference twixt the twain, as shouldn't take overmuch ponderance to discover) - ushering the sheep unto themselves to dwell in soma of a new sort, they faithfully serve The Masters, frequently without even knowing it, which is, of course, ideal. After all, the one who knoweth not from whence he issueth nor where he go-eth but dwelleth ever in the approval of patronage, whether Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Progressive Democrat, whatever, is a delight to The Masters. However, no man or woman can can claim alliance to those bastards, in whatever form they arrive, and call him/herself free. It's an impossibility. Therefore, we beging to perceive the complicated hidden networks under vaporous sloganeering, now to an emerging point of repudiation of "labels", "fidelities", "camps", and such. The infuaxtainers are sprinting to distance themselves from previous allegiances because it can be seen how intimately tied they’ve always been to The Machine. The “Unattached” Highminded Journalist, claiming to be a velvet revolutionary or someidioticsuch while a creature of the Democratic Party, most noticeably the sub-corporate Progressive Democrats of America, somehow directly networks into that entire structure, well provided for in opportunities and various other emoluments to forward Party messaging…while claiming to be his own man or her own woman. Yes, yes, yes, I see it now! How could I not have otherwise?!?! Oh the humanity, all becomes clear! What a fool I've been!!!

This is of course beyond farcical. If we wish to witness the “Left” parallelling the Right, there it is. The bizarre "Oh, all this division nonsense is just silly!" patter arose as the economy began to collapse, as Republicans and Democrats alike desperately needed to divert attention away from their part in it. They couldn't run to the Left, which woulda painted their collective ass purple, so the only course was ambiguity, which is all this “no Right, no Left, just Americans!!” crap is, whether from Limbaugh or Friedman or Hartmann or Lucifer. Small wonder, then, that the audience to such a fetid brand of orientation is little more than a galvanic echo chamber. Listen to any radio show, Right or "Left", and see if you can discern a mindset other than dogmatic, the "Left's" merely more sophisticatedly delusive than the Right's, which is psychotic no matter what perfume is splashed on. Sophisticated delusion is still delusion. The Right wishes to advance its retrogressions, the "Left" just wants them to stay in place.

What a wonderland of choices. Turn on the radio, go down with the ship. Speaking of which, if you listened to the Malloy Show of 1/16/12, you heard him highly approve of Turley's article. Surprised? Yep, the space cadets of the airwaves are still busy re-arranging the deck chairs. Have a seat, but get your will in order first.

INI NOTE: William Bowles recently suffered a heart attack but is now okay. In fact, he reports that not only was the hospitalization experience in all ways a positive one but that the ministrations he underwent left him feeling better than before the heart attack. I of course will not belabor the contrast to our piece o' shite medical system, which will not get one whit better under Obama's corporation-exalting new "system" but only more abysmal than it presently is, yodeling "Leftie" radio infauxtainers' claims to the contrary, but I thought that all who visit his website (listed in V.V. Kindred below) and read his marvelous articles, which stand in bold distinction my my mad-dawg work, might want to know of this. We will continue to enjoy his highly Humanist work hopefully for many more years to come, thanks to the British medical establishment.

And, quite sincerely, when you get tired or misanthropic vitriol, you really should read Bill for a refreshing change of pace.

Just One Moron, The True Face of the Entire “Left”

An “Advocate” level would set you back $300.02 but obtain “a higher level of member benefits”, in fact “several benefits unavailable” to lower life forms, even though said bennies had never been in the least revealed before. That’s a contract we all wanna sign, hm? But….$300.02? What’s with the two pennies?? But pay no heed because the next level, the exalted “Associate Membership”, got you a “personalized URL for your members [sic] page and the ability to make ebooks out of your articles”…for a meager $400.03!!

WHAT THE HELL IS IT WITH THE PENNY FETISH???

But, glomming the Associate platform, I bet you thought “Phew! We’re done with that!” Oh no, Bucko, we're just getting started. “Premier Membership” would net you “Expidited [sic] Queue [sic] attention and other expanded system functions”, none of which were enumerated though the price tag was a hefty “$800.04”. “Partner Membership” brought “good recognition on the Top Contributors page” and, holeeeeee cow!, even “a high degree of members benefits”, apparently top secret, as even Prezdawg Obama had no clue what they might be. The buy-in? Hell, cheap at only “$1400.05”, but not as good as “Fellow Membership…the second highest level”, where you “get the highest recognition on the Top Contributors page and…have input into some OpEdNews Decision Discussions”.

Didja catch the vapid quantifier, “some”? Care to guess what it really means? And, c’mon, there’s only one decision-maker in the Bernaysianly “bottom-up” world of OpEdNews, and that position has the initials ‘R.K.’ written all over it. But heck, in lieu of this Fellowship nothingness, one also received “acknowledgement as sponsor on Rob Kall Bottom Up Radio Shows/podcasts”, and, well, that’s better than gold, isn’t it? At a mere $5000.06, why that’s only as little as…well, a down payment on your new car, but who needs cars?!?! Fuck ‘em! Take the bus for the cause, bubbaleh!

Patience, we’re almost done with this egregious shenanigan.

The “Benefactor” level constituted the Seraphim Realm of OEN, “the highest level of membership”. And look at what you get!!!: “the highest recognition on the Top Contributors page…input into some OpEdNews Decision Discussions [a]nd acknowledgement as sponsor on Rob Kall bottom up [sic] Radio Shows/podcasts for the first two years of your membership” which is…wait, that’s almost exactly what those Fellow Member bastards got, wasn’t it? WTF??? Ah, but f’geddaboudit, the price is only $9999.07, so buy three!

Need anyone mention that this went over like a lead matzoh? Yep, no one but no one was going for it. C,mon. OEN couldn’t raise its basic operating costs, or so Kall averred year in and year out, and suddenly people were going to start vying for positions in the OEN barony for plainly ludicrous sums of gelt? What exactly was this damfool’s fevered mindset? Self-exaltation, as far as any could discern. “Highest recognition”? In what? Of what? This geek squad had only one adherent: Kall himself. Wifey had kicked his ass out of the house, the marriage, and her life just before dying of cancer and putting the capstone on Kall’s Gingrichian/Edwardsian wont. The kids estranged themselves, the dog pee’ed on his leg, and you, you fortunate thing you, you get to be his Bestest Buddy Forever…or for $10,000, whichever comes first. Lucky lucky you!

No one was buying it. Thus, time to switch tactics back to Calling Out The Marines. On 1/13/11, Kall made a bold bold BOLD stand, braying that he would “continue to call psycho's [sic] like Glenn Beck psychos…continue to call out weak DINOs and bluedog [sic] in congress [sic] and the White House”.

Whoa nelly! Stop the presses!

If nothing else, this prompted a wave of hilarity. Kall’s universally known for throwing his staff to the wolves, abandoning them at protests as cops closed in and jail loomed and such, but that hardly mattered. These things were in fact self-sacrificing because, who knows?, allowing himself to be an actual convicted protester might have led to violence upon the constabulary from his imaginary army of fans, civilization thus ending. Rob was convinced this would be the only possible recourse, that the global village would be indignated, fierce, ungovernable, blood in the streets the result. No fear, though, as he reassured us that “[v]iolence is NOT the answer. Don't even think about it”. Yow!!! Okay then, we won’t! The egotistical arrogance in that martinetish “Don’t even think about it” is stupefying. But 2/2/11 sprang up, and we saw the most pathetic pitch to date, one continuing the Tree House scam with a new warp:

“There's a new way to support OpEdnews.com - by becoming a premium member. That helps fund our work and also gives you an enhanced experience of the website, letting you get a custom URL for your member page, like www.opednews.com/yourname, and being able to see the page view counts for most popular articles, for your articles and for other people's articles. If you have a lot of articles on the site and want to download all of them, one premium member ability allows you to get them all with a few keystrokes, into one file.”

Not one word was said about how that ability used to be an absolutely free staple for all writers and most readers. Now Kall was pulling it back. Bloggers, readers, and writers were going to have to empty pockets for the formerly gratis function. A more naked threat accompanied it: “We've made one adjustment, based on user feedback, the character limit on commenting is 2000 characters for regular non-premium members and unlimited for premium members”, and no, as you may have surmised, that “adjustment” wasn’t made on “reader feedback”. It was instituted purely and only by Kall in order to put the squeeze on everyone. But there was more.

The Boneheaded One was foolishly augmenting his martial stance by again pressuring writers because the rate of desertion of OEN staff scribes had become alarming. Once more: though the public doesn’t know it, most OEN staff members literally pay Kall to publish them. Were that not so, their soap opera hackwork wouldn’t see the light of day anywhere, let alone OpEd. Of course, such payments are never considered bribery and Kall’s machinations are never deemed extortion, it’s a matter of being a loyal member of the cause. While ensconced, as said, I and a number of others weren’t so honored, disinclined to participate in such monkeyshines despite ridiculously pointed hints from El Jefe that we should. The fuckwad was getting our work, so why on Earth should we contribute gelt we had no doubt would go straight into his pocket? But there was even more.

Kall continued that “if you WRITE an article, you have unlimited characters on [sic] to use to make comments on your article. And if you have at least four articles published in the past three months, there is no limit on comment on any content”. No one quite knew what he was jabbering about, so this wham-bam-thank-you-man razzle-dazzle fizzled the day it was floated.

On 4/18/11, it was numbers time once more, and what several months ago had been claimed as a 28,000 member base had suddenly, dizzyingly, death-defyingly spiraled upwards to an unparalleled “60,000 registered members and 36 volunteer editors”. Purest fantasy. More, the Illiterate One was rejoicing in the fact that “[t]he site has published over 127,000 articles since May of 2005”. The part that was left out was the fact that most of them were stolen from first publication elsewhere. That “published” was inserted to carry more than it meant. This, like everything else, didn’t much impress the punters. Time for another hackneyed ruse.

4/26/11 and Bun Boy blubberously pseudo-confessed he was “clearly doing something right and something wrong…most would say [he’s] crazy to even do this thing called opednews [sic]”, not even bothering, awash in his standard sea of grammatical howlers, to get his own site’s name straight. Nonetheless, the lad continued, “people do tell [him he’s] doing something important, making a difference” and joining them were outpatients from Bedlam averring OEN was “their favorite site”. You might want to note that “people” rhetoric. It’s a hidden quantifier, the journalist’s way of hiding that he’s spinning a yarn, doesn’t have fuck-all of a clue in reality whether any other than the usual parasites favored his shit. Were matters otherwise, names would’ve been dropped like rain. Wanna see just how psychotic this guy is and what a poor liar?

Two days later, 4/28, the membership, whose prolificity had been one of the signs of the Second Coming, jumping from 28,000 to 60K; now, less than a fortnight further on, was back down to “ just shy of 30,000”. In all truth, staff members snickered from the wings, the translation for “just shy” was really “half”. 15,000 is what I’ve been told by five reliable OEN writers. Typically Republican, Kall’s completely incapable of truth-tellling, here bemoaning the fact that only “1 out of ten thousand site visitors” (as opposed to members, keep in mind) were kicking rubles to his welfare fund. Frankly, I’m shocked it was that many, and am I mistaken or hadn’t he been running all manner of attestations by nobility and plebe alike about how beloved he was? How does that figure into the constant moan of being ignored? I try very hard to kick this misanthropic ideation I have that human beings are monkeys, and this wasn’t helping a bit. Rob-O ended by saying “we do need help”, the “we” being royal, he an oracle, the “help” connoting psychiatry.

However, all THAT didn’t budge the shekel flow an inch, so the lazy-susan of sweltering nonsense had to be rotated once more, landing on the Ambivalent Guy pose. Some posited clown named “Doc” (always beware pseudonyms, o chelas!) “really pisses [Rob] off sometimes” but, hey, Kall’s a square guy, y’know?, so good ol’ Doc, he took the cloudy syringe out of his arm for a moment, set aside the copper spoon and white powder, and penned a missive to OEN’s captious troll:

“I personally would hate to see OEN fall by the wayside - or be relegated to the trash can of history. I live in China - and it is difficult for me to donate on a regular basis - but I have - and will again. The difficulty is due to banking regulations in China; nothing more and nothing less. From what I read here, ‘everyone’ seems to have their own ‘sad story’. I'm not quite sure that those sad stores are all ‘accurate’ or ‘real’ after looking at some demographics [long list of crap stats appended]…

“People who are on Social Security and send in $5 per month are giving up, on average .04% of their $1,250 a month income each month. Think about that in relation to the non-necessities that you spend for each month. Things never get done if you wait for someone else to do it instead. Had an argument with my ex-wife Old Blister one time about who was going to cook dinner. We went without eating dinner for 4 days. Only good that came out of it was that we both lost some weight - but it hastened our trip to the courthouse for a divorce. Mighty tough when people get stubborn that way. Everything that you hold near and dear can end up in the crapper. Don't know what I can do to help you Rob. Seems like ‘loyalty’ and ‘wallets’ just don't mix these days.

“No doubt, some apologist will now come along and argue that the demographic information someone supplied when they first signed up for OEN have [sic] changed and by golly, by gosh, they are so broke that they can't afford the down payment on a free lunch. That then can give people an excuse not to make any sacrifices. If that is the case then, maybe it is time to stop offering ‘free lunches’."

This signature read “Doc ‘Old Codger’ McCoy”, but…why is “McCoy’s” rambling bullpuckey indited precisely in Rob Kall’s writing voice? Why the pin-point fetish for so weighted an analysis of how stingy readers are via skewed statistics? Why does Doc’s cited marriage fiasco echo Kall’s own? How come that “end up in the crapper” is Freudian for “with cancer” and so very similar to Kall’s Gingrichy version of John Edwards? Why does Doc’s suggestion about retirees so closely mirror Kall’s many times encanted hint to the same effect: that OEN-reading retirees actually can well afford living on half what he, Kall, skims off the OEN take each month/year, and thus could really, really, reeeeeeeally send in at least a $5/mo. donation to fatten Kall’s wallet? Why was “Doc” pre-empting the shot he knew would come sooner or later, the bullet from the guy Kall used to publicly cite as “a discontent ex-OEN writer in Southern California”: me, the gent “McCoy” was now calling an “apologist” (wrong term, btw, Rob and “Doc”) who was going to argue “demographic information” as I’ve just done and had been doing for years. And, yeah, “demographic” is the wrong word, too. Kall doesn’t know his writing arm or arse from a chirographic hole in the ground. But, still, why all that?

Of course, the bit about not eating for four days is a flight of fantasy designed to invoke old prairie fantasies of hardtack pioneers with tough hides and gristly interiors. Kall got that, and not very well, from his own writing seminars. Too bad he never learned how to wield a pen past junior high level. Nor has he ever been terribly clever with numbers.

The OEN Bare Minimum was once again on the rise. What had been a $40K tagline, recently bumped to $50, was ascendent once more, moments later an impressive $57K, as the 5/1/11 newsletter, “Making Budget at OEN”, cited that the “monthly budget will run between $5000 and $5250 because of number of services we're adding to improve the way we do things”. Multiply that times 12 months. Anyone looking at the lay out newsletter and anything attached to it knew all of this to be a lie.

The e-flyer had been on a perpetual decline for years, but Kall straightfacedly claimed that “[s]ome of the costs will be for upgrading our mailing system [and] some for speeding up the speed of loading for the site”, two of a panoply he’d been “working on” for years to no real effect. The guy must’ve been anticipating what I’d soon note, as 5/2/11 stated he’d “had some serious problems getting out the newsletter for the past week or two”. There’s the Deming 85/15 Rule right in front of us.

W. Edward Deming was the greatest modern management theorist, though the forces of capitalism went far to obscure that, seeing in his work the inevitable “dictatorship” of the proletariat and the rise of socialism in a more effective manner than had previously been witnessed. Deming was also the man single-handedly responsible for the rise of Japan as an economic superpower in the 50s/60s. In comparison, the capitalist God, Peter Drucker, was just some fat clever Friedmanite idiot at first worshiped by Libertarians, businessmen / women, and such but later forced to admit, in his dying days, that capitalism had failed, Thom Hartmann’s sunny predisposition towards the criminal “science” notwithstanding, leaving in its wake a sea of excessively cruel middle managers. Though few understood the weight of that remark, Drucker was silently admitting his defeat to Deming, the better man.

Deming’s approach to the workplace was technocratically Humanistic and yielded CPI (Continuous Process Improvement), TQM (Total Quality Management), and the famous 14 Points. Having resided in aerospace for 25 years, I’ve written of these matters previously and of how American businesses bastardized them in ersatz programs in order to fulfill precisely what Deming himself knew would happen. That’s where the 85/15 Rule comes in with Kall.

In various disparate Veritas Vampirus Econ lessons, I’ve proven how the least valuable aspect of any business is the owner, the second least useful the managers, whose very title reflects their dilemma: absent crises, they’re completely unnecessary. After all, a chain of apprenticeship and worker-controls within any business is all that’s ever necessary as management. Absent that Marxistic situation, Deming has rightly averred that a worker is 85% controlled by his workplace, only 15% controlled by his own skills. The lion’s share of that 85% overseerage resides in the incompetencies of the owner and management, the residual having to do with social forces in the workplace and other minor matters, some of them purely physical structures, aberrant technology, and such. Thus, should management be desirous of holding its place in a business: when any crisis runs out, it must create new ones. After one or two realizations in that direction, the structure understands its new mission: perpetual interference with work processes quarantee perpetual management necessity, perpetual job security for that median stratum.

Thus further, whenever you see a dolt like Rob Kall bewailing everything but himself as the cause of woe at OEN, you’re watching the 85/15 Rule in motion. Because Kall is both owner and the entire management structure, which is why he now has taken to hiding in the insane divertive ‘bottom up’ fallacy, he captures not just the ability to foul up his own works if he pleases but also to cry ‘wolf’ when no predator is within miles, all for the same reason a priest/rabbi bewails and bemoans demons and assailing supernatural hordes: it brings attention and gelt. I doubt Kall’s fucking up his own works except by dint of reflexive mental inacuities, it’d make no sense and bring loss to him to do so, but he’s certainly purveying this ceaseless state of emergency and its innumerable reinforcers at OEN in order to gin up the punters in the hope of what all charities do: appeal to baselessly exaggerated and cross-connected sympathies, emotionally charged confusion. Bernays. That’s all you ever see in the 24/7/365 OEN Emergency State. Thus:

“We're taking steps to drastically upgrade the way we handle mailing out the newsletter. It's going to cost a pretty penny to get it set up and then more every month to use the new way of mailing. We could use some help funding the set-up fee-- a total of $1500 for all the services we're setting up. This will be very good for OEN in the long haul, but it's very tough on our finances in the short run. Can you help?”

Ah, the chant heard ‘round the world and with just enough in the way of readers still foolish/stupid enough to respond. On 5/9/11. We were told he was “starting a new contract that we hope will make our newsletter mailing a LOT more reliable. The old system just isn't doing the job anymore. We've had so many reports of missing emails. The new service should dramatically improve the mailings and enable us to do more targeted mailings”, which is just an admission that he was never on top of anything at any point. He did, however, want you well aware of one thing and one thing only: “it costs money”. Oh, and ask no questions, peon. This too passed. Two days later, a new tack was adopted. Had you thought he’d scraped the barnacles off the bottom of the Are You Fucking Kidding Me??? ploys, good news arrived: he hadn’t.

ROB KALL, IDIOT – Pt. 6

Just One Moron, The True Face of the Entire “Left”

On 5/11/11, Kall wrote: “Want to be on my radio show tonight? I've decided to have a few guests on. Here's how: 1 - pitch me a topic, 2 - If I approve it, make a donation of at least $40, 3 - I will pick the top four contributors to be on the show for 15 or more minutes each. The more you donate and the better your subject, the higher your chances. The topic must be one I'd discuss anyway. If you've made a $40 or more contribution recently, you can also propose a subject. Reply to this email but change the subject heading to Radio Show”.

Watch carefully what occurred there: it seems as if he’s asking just four people to bribe him to allow them access to what's basically their own airwaves, but that’s not quite it. He’s actually saying he’s only taking from those who will disgorge gelt and then setting them against each other, choosing four from who ever bleeds the most:

“1 - pitch me a topic [BUT, one he'll be talking about anyway, so why even have a pitch?], 2 - If I approve it [approve it? Didn't he just say it was what he was going to talk about anyway, one way or the other?], make a donation of at least $40 [main emphasis #1: "at least"], 3 - I will pick the top four contributors [main emphasis #2: 'fight to get to the top...and do it blind 'cause I ain't gonna tell ya who's giving how much'] to be on the show for 15 or more minutes each”

But it went over like a lead balloon, no one was interested in being interviewed by a baboon. The tactic was not repeated but it indicated how desperate Kall was getting for not only money but show guests. Another tactic was necessitated, an old standby. On 5/13/11, “Intimations of Mortality” emitted, in which Kall revealed he:

“had an outpatient procedure done - removal of a small patch of squamous cell cancer…Also, in six weeks, I turn sixty. Things like that, which remind me of my mortality, make me think about and assess where I'm going in my life. I'm pretty happy with what I do, but it would be nice if I didn't have to sweat each month's budget”

Pretty unbelievable. This monster had not only been fucking over his wife while she was still alive, and his family, something he had admitted in OEN, but now was usinhg that remarkably squalid situation as a ploy to try to gain reader sympathy for his then-divorced state, looking as hangdog as possible through the newsletter. It was one of the most deplorable such tactics I’ve ever seen in print, exacerbating his Newt Gingrich/John Edwards situation in the crassest fashion imaginable. Many agreed. Revenues dipped notably. He wouldn’t repeat the trick again any time soon - in fact hasn't since then - but, within the repulsive hondel, by way of still drawing attention to himself, was now eager to help *you* out once again, pilgrim, despite his galactic pain, in order to show he was jes’ plain folks and deserving of your transfer of wealth to him:

“And, if you have sores on your skin that don't heal right, or keep coming back, especially if you are over 40, get them checked. I'm VERY glad I caught mine early. It was on my head, where my bald spot has been - probably too much bass fishing without a hat.”

Shucks, Andy, where’s Gomer and Barney? Yep, Kall was actually trying to get rhetorical residency in Mayberry. And…"bald spot"? Wouldn't that be his entire head? You'd think were so bad that he was living on crackers and water, but, um, a month later, on 6/6/11, he was “off to NYC to attend Personal Democracy Forum 2011, a superb meeting, with great speakers on the intersections of Politics, Media, Government and new media”. All on the OEN dime he’d been wailing didn’t exist. The splurge was onc again in direct contradiction of his old-school Republican businessman’s yodel of the completely illusionary “bottom up” workplace, so let’s look at that fantasy again.

Were there to be the least shred of bottom-upping - in other words, of a Marxistic worker’s collective - at OEN, then, besides the fact that there would be no top position ever, Rob Kall would not be allowed to be gadding about to every media event that struck his fancy, would he? The collective would have halted that within the first three minutes of installing itself. I mean, seriously, think about how incredibly arrogant, anti-populist, and just plain lying Kall's position is. The only way anyone can even say something is bottom up is when there's a top; otherwise, you have a flat collective with no hierarchy. Whenever there's a top in a hierachy, all claims of power and control exercised from the bottom are automatically mooted just in the fact that an apex exists. No one on the "Left" understands this for a moment, being caught up in what Thorstein Veblein called "the cult of the boss" (an extension of cherished religious practices, we can't help but note), but my nonexistent pet dog laughed when I spoke of it to him, asking the cat if he'd ever heard of any structure in the history of mankind ruled from the bottom.

The cat, who was drinking cream at the time, laughed it out his nose, looked at the dog, wondering if it was insane for even posing such an inquiry, and then just smirked at me. Kall's been touting this line of shit for half a decade, ever since Thom Hartmann suggested it to him as a Bernaysian tactic, and *no one* on the "Left" has questioned it for a second, not the OEN readership, not the many name brands fawning over Kall (Hedges, Swanson, Lendman, Palast, etc.), not the Infauxtaining Brotherhood (Malloy, Rhodes, Maddow, Schultz, Friedman, etc.), no one. Rob Kall was saying that 1 + 1 added up to 39, and the dimbulb "Left" just answered in a chorus of nods, beaming at his wisdon and altruism. Take, a guess, then, why every one of these "Left" idiots thinks a 'democracy' is a system of representative rule. The "Left" has become as braindead as the Right is corrupt.

More to the point, at least within his own field of alleged expertise, Kall's writing continued to be drop-dead hideous, his perspicacity the equal of a corpse’s, his personality one of a hyper-needy arrested-growth geek, and so on through an encyclopedia of moral and intellectual shortcomings that would‘ve choked Freud, Jung, Szasz, and Ellis en masse. OEN staff, despite overwhelming defects, warehoused a number of somewhat decent writers – Joan Brunwasser, his enabling muse, for one, but not one of them peeped up about the hetman's grotesque savagings of the language. In fact, were OEN to have been founded by anyone but Da Chief, Kall would never have been allowed to set foot in the foyer. Any editor worth his salt could only laugh at the such beggarly chirographic / journalistic “prowess”, understanding the threat to any organization should Rob-O be allowed to write even for free, summoning security to hustle the pudgy little con artist noodge out the door.

Why is this important? For two reasons: 1) if any faintest idea of bottom-up existed at OEN, Rob Kall wouldn’t, the rest of the crew having voted him out before the first hour came to an end, and 2) the entitety of the "Left" had nothing to say about the farce. Not Daily Kos, not Firedoglake, not BradBlog, no one, especially not the radio infauxtainers - Malloy, Rhodes, Friedman, etc. - all drinking from the well.

No, it was fairy dust and capitalist hubris donning the mantle of a sick semblance of humility and penury while stepping on the face of any real emotion. And the brethren either loved it or were terrified of it, yattering in the former case, silent in the latter. This OpEd bottom-up device has all along been just another in an endlessly revolving menu of management PsyOps in reaction to the socialism portended in such as strategies as W. Edwards Deming’s methodologies. That’s all bottom-up’ing ever has been, under its various forms from Marx forward, is a matter of a "dictatorship" (I wish to hell Marx would never have used that term) of the proletariat. A bottom-up situation is a rhetorical absurdity, it cannot live, let alone draw a single breath. As soon as you say "bottom-up", you're straight-out lying. You're saying there's no heirarchy in your hierarchy, but the "Left" fell for the opposite like a ton of bricks.

And these are the people we're supposed to look to for guidance or even just commentary through this increasing hell? People, people, people, do I really need to tell you that they helped create it, lovingly maintain it (silence goes a long way in that respect), and have not one iota of desire to see it go away, every single one of 'em burning with the ache to be the top of any "bottom-up" illusion?

There’s a rich loam-bed of history, though, to perverting such things. One version of the old con concerns itself with concocting impressive titles to substitute for raises and policy change. That emerged country-wide in an abrupt 80s heralding that corporations were now “team” organizations. Motivational speakers and posters were brought in with lightning speed, and the proclamation “There is no I in ‘team’!!!” was birthed, managers crowing and inveighing with simultaneous exultation and stern reproof - until, that is, they ran into prick bastards like me who one day had a gutful and answered “True, but there is a ‘me’ in it, and, if you want to wax anagrammatically redundant for a moment, there’s also an ‘eat me’ there, something I suggest you do”.

No end of in-plant classes were held in factories all around America, and makeshift sessions sprang up to prove the delusion, gatherings of drones in which no worker-drudge ever seemed to cognize that management, within this new “bottom up” "team" scenario, was still calling every shot, running all the meetings, standing up in righteous boss-wrath and redirecting traffic when any realistic questioning of power might be generated from a dissident individual or two. And the further in any underling managed to get, the more baldfaced the charade became.

That’s Kall’s invocation of the process as well. No one but him at OEN ever calls any shots, ever makes decisions of any import whatsoever (shown in the schematized Membership tithing and subsequent favor-granting composed by Kall and Kall only, as no one else would be that loony, even as degraded as OEN staff is). To this very moment, all who labor gratis for the man completely understand they hold no power whatsoever. Kall’s mode was then, is now, and forever will be as dictatorial as his record has demonstrated, “bottom-up” nothing more than a shiny billboard of lights and confection meant solely for public consumption well away from the office, a fairy-tale in little danger of betrayal because his minions, an assemblage of journo-masochists and puling amateurs, could care less what Da Boss says, so used to regurgitatios that the matter’s beneath notice, just another in a very long line of lunacies long ago accommodated. Kall could say whatever crossed his dim mind, and the punters outside OEN would be none the wiser while the peons inside would yet just grimace and bear it.

Thus, when he yet again resuscitated an even older ploy of such pseudo-populism, on 6/14/11 saying “I'm an activist. I go to activist events - protests, lectures, meetings and conferences where I meet OEN readers, writers, members. I got to the hill [sic] and visit [sic] the senate [sic] and house [sic] buildings”, he noted neither the hypocrisy implicit within the fifteen billionth emphasis on him, him, and nothing but him - rather than on much better OEN writers who should’ve attended every single one of these events in his place.

One thing many outside the "Left" circle have long noted is that, in OEN’s "bottom-up" irreality, no one edits Mr. Kall. Odd, no? Look at all the sic’s I’ve had to insert in this idiot’s prose every time I quoted him. In a worker-dominated realm indisputably containing many writers and editors superior to Kall, as feeble as that elevation oft is – again, Brunwasser being just one - how could that possibly happen? How could they allow this moron to misrepresent the true labor status of the organization? For one reason only: there’s no bottom-up’ing whatsoever occurring, existing only in Kall’s fevered beetle-brow and blathering hype. Care to see the ego reinforcer?

Kall then wrote that it’s “great to meet people at these locales who know OEN. They're always grateful and often tell me that what makes OEN special is that we are so open - open to anyone who has something to say and can say it reasonably well, and open to a really, really wide range of viewpoints”. Dear reader, what’s Da Boss talking about? If you think it’s the site, then why is he, only one writer in it among the hundreds dwelling there, the only one ever allowed to field this reputedly unstinting praise? Why does he not share that direct experience with anyone else if he's so bottom-up, place others in the way of the direct applause if he's so fucking humble and generous? It’s not the site he’s referring to, OEN isn’t receiving all this “gratitude” and praise, and the worker bees certainly aren’t. It’s always and only Kall himself, OEN as an entity occasionally serving as a very slight hedge away from making the charade of ego gluttony too noticeable.

Even more disturbing: who are these inveterately soul-less defectives who are praising him?

THIS ISSUE: Well, I said I'd inflict you with a new round of Stepford "Left" installments interleaving the Rob Kall series, so I'm starting now. The series is in 7 parts, but the Stepford citations are more voluminous than that, so they'll probably continue well after the Kall evisceration, until I exhaust them once again.

To the new readers: the Stepford "Left" is just another synonym for "Left" radio infauxtainers and such, so called after I'd watched the movie The Chumscrubber and realized that the nightmare being satirized was the not the Right, as I'd mis-supposed, but the "Left"…and the illumination was rather savage but oh so cogent. Within this periodic series' confines, you will find mostly the illimitable hypocrisies of the Left" but also an accolade or two. The latter can't be helped. One or two of these asses occasionally do the rght thing. They can't help themselves, they're not fully Republican. Not yet anyway.

Well, because I've been piling these up for some time now, we have to borrow The Wayback Machine from Sherman & Peabody in order to travel back almost a year. I think, though, that you may be a trifle surprised that NOTHING has changed in that time - or since when I began this intermittent series years ago. Like Obama, the "Left" is change you can believe in.

7/23/11, KTLK, Ring of Fire Show (ex-AirAmerica) - Mike Papantonio had on some mook Congressman (don't know who, wasn’t listening closely enough) and, while fiercely kissing the guy's ass - and I mean FIERCELY!, the poor guy probably had lip burns after the episode - asked, regarding the Afghanistan War, "Isn't it time to leave? Isn't enough enough?", never once posing the real interrogative: "Wasn't it completely illegal from the git-go, and shouldn't we never have set foot inside the territory in the first place?" But then...war has been good to Mike's investments.

7/?/11, Thom Hartmann Show - I didn't mark down the date, but Hartmann had his usual Lunch With Bernie session on some summer Friday, and Bernie was advocating Obama making jobs via infrastructure repair… while completely avoiding which corporations would get the contracts (well, the rich, of course!!). Then a woman caller came on and gushed "We named our baby after you, Bernie!!!". God help us, but, in order to shore up his increasingly untenable positions, Hartmann’s resorting to the ickiest soap opera-isms in the book…cribbing from Rhodes?

8/?/11, Mike Malloy Show - Again forgot to note the date but at some point over the summer, Malloy claimed that he, as the radio "Left" was busy falling apart, decided on the "path of less pay but complete independence". Translation: none of the corporations offered him anything.

8/?/12, Thom Hartmann Show – Good God! Once more forgetting to write down the date, over the summer Hartmann revealed a shocking part of his new Democrat-dictated agenda: focusing people's attention on accepting a retirement age of 65. It’s easy to come out with such anti-populist drek when you’re firmly in the 1%, isn’t it, Thomass Hartmann? And Hartminnions will laud him for it.

8/16/11, Mike Malloy Show - After going on at length, inferring solidarity with the Verizon strikers, Malloy made it very clear that he nonetheless would not be dropping his Verizon customership, viewing his solidarities in the same stripe as his so-called anti-Democratic Party rantings, I suppose.

8/25/11, KPFK monthly fund drive - You know that 'matching funds' are a Bernaysian device, right? Purest bullshit. You know that, right? It’s why they're almost always presented as either anonymous or under a fictitious donor name. The psychology’s pure arousal orientation, the "We gotta make it or that money is gone! Only you stand between us and dooooooooooooooom!!!!!". You also might want to note that they never miss a matching fund "challenge". How could they? None existed in the first place.

8/25/11, Coast to Coast - George Noori had Stan Deyo on. Stan’s book The Cosmic Conspiracy was the one that, in the 70s, handed over by a conservative friend, got me into conspiracy research. I readily admit it, but I quickly moved on from him to others. Deyo has now become what's inevitable to all Right conspiracy researchers: they start in religion and end in madness. The guy’s become a complete shill for the Far Right and, during the entirety of the show, took every chance he could to exculpate George Bush from his innumerable sins, casting them on Barack Obama,who certainly deserves ‘em but is hardly the co-origin point of Bush’s shenanigans. Noori, of course, had no criticism of Deyo’s nonsense.

9/27/11, KPFK - Michael Parenti was talking about the strange deaths of the people in the JFK assassination. Randi Rhodes would call Mike, vastly her superior in every possible way, a conspiracy theorist.

10/9/11, KPFK - Cornell West was going on and on and on about "the American experiment". That's Rhodes / Malloy / Hartmann spreche, isn’t it? After 235 years, when does the goddamned experiment end? When does it yield a result other than 'the rich get richer and richer and richer, the government conducts non-stop imperialism, and everyone else lives wondering what trap will be sprung on them next?’. Does this “experiment” ever bear fruit or even end? By the way, this “experiment” semantics the Left loves to mouth? It was created by the Right.

10/20/11, Something's Happening with Roy of Hollywod, KPFK – Roy Tuckman's significant other (or so I assume, I don't pay much attention to the guy), Diane, quipped "I've been listening to commercial radio and commercial television lately, and the ads every 10 minutes will drive you batty." Yeah, Diane, that's why I stopped watching TV in 1985. What are you doing still watching? It took you this long to figure *that* out? Too bad DiDi didn't speak more to commercial radio in her disgruntlement, as over 1/3 of every show is commercials, regardless of "Left" or Right orientation. On that same night, speaking to Juan Gonzalez, who was alleging that KPFK won itself back from invading Rightist forces, Tuckman said "I'm not sure we got back" and Diane chimed in "Well…it was…something". Ya gotta love when the hosts stray from their alt-corporate reservation, but, more to the point, the listeners, except for cats like me, are completely unaware of that dire reality: Tuchasman and co-host KNOW the Right won that battle and – like Malloy, Rhodes, Hartmnann, Friedman, Harrison, et al – dares not speak of it.

10/20/11, Thom Hartmann Show - Sometimes I just can't credit my ears. Thom today said "Corporations are by definition sociopathic" and yet will not admit the same about capitalism, whose very soul is the aggregate of corporations and which rose in tandem with them, in fact exists only because of them. Then, of course, there’s the problem that not only does Hartmann own a number of them but is himself a living corporation. All higher level entertainment people are, it's a tax advantage. More, Hartmann personally shills for corporations hour in and hour out, day in and day out, year in and year out, in ads and other modes. Moreover, he runs independent adverts for corporations large and small above and beyond his "billboarding" (have ya noticed that rthe adio slags no longer use that, what they thought was an exculpatory, term since I started baiting them on it?). Of course, you can count every single radio "Left" figure in with that: Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, Ron Reagan Jr., Phil Hendrie, etc.

So, let's see if I'm getting this right: Thom is calling himself, all his corporations, all his living-corporation compadres, all his advertisers, and any other corporation existent out as sociopathic. Cool!!!! Finally, he and I agree on something.

10/21/11, Thom Hartmann Show - In response to a regular caller scheduled to have surgery for cancer on Nov. 1, Thom let it be known that he'd be praying for caller Stan. He encouraged other listeners, if they don't pray, to do their own "schtick" (his exact term) otherwise. Nice: when Hartmann is on his knees abnegating before the illusion godthing, he calls it 'prayer'; when anyone else not brainwashed forwards good regard, it's 'schtick'.

Later, a caller tried to get in info about the old S&L crisis as an analogue to the current world banking scam. As Thom tried to hustle him off (Hartmann’s callers are lucky nowadays to get 1 minute, something that has provoked all kinds of discontent), the guy asked to give two more statistics re: a recently zeroed-out D.C. investigative unit. Thom instantly resorted to a rumor-line buzz, ejaculating (regarding Geithner, Bernanke, etc.,):"I *think* there will be prosecutions".

Hard-line stance there, Thom! When I was more intensely tutoring high schoolers, not only was my student base 50% atheists and anarchists, but I casually had been putting inquiries to it, only to discover that almost NO young people listen to "Left" radio. With people like Hartmann, I think I know why.

Ironically, Thom then got two young callers in a row who pulled his pants down, forcing him to admit "Anything Goes Friday" is indeed censored, especially when it comes to Bernie Sanders, his Friday regular, admitting there are certain questions he won't allow to be put to Bernie. Interesting. Hartmann has historically frequently tried quashing callers right in front of Bernie, who forever had to interrupt his buddy, override him, and then very graciously field the interrogative, ALWAYS far more level-headed and infinitely more responsive, albeit often vanilla-ly so, than Thom. Thus, now, here, Thom 'Head Scout' Hartmann just silently admitted to patronizing *guests*. One must then wonder how many other than Sanders have received such condescending censorial behavior. I was wondering why his best buddy Rob Kall has been lately increasing his own defenses of his own censoriality, but, obviously, both are growing nervous that the public is once again tumbling to their not-so-invisible manipulations.

Even more ironically, this, as it turned out, young conservative absolutely crucified Hartmann, who, in his best Fred MacMurray tone, tried to jauntily boast that, doggone it!, he put dissenters at the front of the line, to which the caller remarked that he wanted to speak to Sanders and told Hartmann's screener that he dissented but was indeed NOT put at the head of the line, instead delayed for WELL beyond the hour (Bernie's usually the first hour, the caller finally got on in the third hour). Thom stuttered and stammered his usual knee-jerk blather, to which the caller instantly was back on him, against which Thom snapped "How I run my show is not…", then dropped dead silent, realizing how revelatory his covert authoritarianism had just become. He cut the line, said not a word more, and took the next caller, who…took up the previous caller's line of thought!

It was fucking amazing! I don't know if he was being monkeywrenched, something I've been urging on "Lefties" against Limbaugh & Co. but also on true Lefties toward "Left" talk show hosts. Any V.V. reader knows my view of goddamned conservatives/Republicans, but those two kids were either cosmic coincidence or very good tacticians and bold as hell, ready from the word 'Go' as they definitively ripped the curtain aside to show the little man behind the big microphone. And they put the Hartmann Sheeple Squad to shame, to boot.

Something is very very wrong in America, especially on the "Left", when I start lauding any stripe of conservative, and that something is precisely why the Democrats and talk show hosts are sprinting to get out in front of, hopefully to head off what they know is coming: revelations of the Democrats and their tools as being almost as dirty and criminal as the Republicans.

This is why Obama, following on Bush's evil and grotesque assassination of Hussein, is uber-criminally killing everyone in sight: Gaddafi, bin Laden, foreign-based Americans, anyone who may be counted upon to spill the beans about the true story of the entire criminal enterprise that has been the U.S. government…well, since Day One actually, but in our lives, especially since Ronald Reagan. The facts the deposed dictators could have revealed by the ton would only have abetted the Wikileaks problem that world authorities are so inflamed over. And have you noticed how supernaturally quiet Wikileaks has been lately, even with the usual financial and legal pressures exerted against it? More to the point: have you noted how silent The Establishment has been about Wikileaks and Anonymous? They want this murder spree of Obama’s to be deathly silent, no martyrs. But then they also have a somewhat sharp increase in suddenly enlightened investigative reporters like Russ Baker, who have been shocked into awareness, disgorging volumes of secrets.

I'm also listening to Hartmann's diction greatly erode. It's disturbing. A Toastmaster would be shocked at his regression from just two years ago, a psychologist would tell us he's compulsively distracted and perhaps worse. More to the point, I've never heard Hartmann cancel anywhere near as many calls as he's doing lately. Go ahead, doubt me, please do, then go back and listen to his stored radio broadcasts over the years as I have (rather: I caught 'em in real time, you can catch 'em canned…IF he's still allowing that through White Rose and other sources, which I very much doubt, as ALL "Left" jocks are now pulling or sifting through their old shows, which are FAR too revealing of such dark elements as Malloy's old Clinton worship and innumerable other can't-be-explained-away matters, precisely everything I've been accusing for years).

Well, this is how it starts: censorship. All "Left" infauxtainers do it, from Fly Into A Rage Malloy (you DO know that's the real reason for that tactic, don't you?, to stop what he can’t handle) to Cut 'Em Off At Callbox Rhodes to Have Em Hold For Three Hours See If THAT Gets Rid of Em Hartmann to every one else, none excepted, even Friedman, directly with me, as I’ve pointed out in previous issues to everyone’s satisfaction…even his compeers’.

Much later, Thom planted a caller who blithely asked "If they don't like the way you run your show, why are they watching?" - in other words: America, love or leave it, but shut the fuck up in either case - to which sentiment Thom laughingly agreed.

Why do I want to like these guys, and why do they work so damned hard to defeat that??? One of us is fucked up.

10/22/11, KTLK - I forget where I heard it, but one of the KTLK gabblers described the entire Radio "Left" as "Left leaning". Need I point out that "Left leaning" translates to "not Left"?

10/24/11 - Well, I just got what may be the lowdown on my increasing puzzlement over the perhaps-inexplicable rhetorical fuck-ups in Hartmann's semantics and diction. It came from an individual known to many of the Radio "Left" Infauxtainers. I will not reveal who that person is, but here's what was said:

"The answer to your bafflement is, ironically enough, you. Hartmann reads Veritas Vampirus, which he gets from another talk show host. In fact, a lot more media "Left" people than you realize read your work on the pass-around circuit, a LOT more (and, LOL!, few will admit it even to associates). It's starting to rattle him because you are the only one revealing these things, and you’re using techniques against which he has no defenses. As you constantly point out, Thom is trained in Bernaysian protocols and knows them when he reads them…also knows there is not a thing he can do about them or about truth and honesty. Your citations of constantly falling listenerships in all "Left" and Left radio (I'm using your designations) is spot on but something NO talk jock wants bruited about. No one is sure what to do or think about you, as you are obviously not a Right plant nor affiliated with any source these people can determine. The idea of a truly independent entity is foreign to them, they cannot grasp it, as they have always been on payrolls and would not be doing what they do if were they not.

"Part of the problem is Rob Kall. You are still very much on his mind due to the Veritas campaign against him. Kall made a grave tactical error in his treatment of you, expecting you to just go away like all the others he's abused. He, his website, his radio show, and even his contacts are constantly degrading as a result. Nonetheless, he is still an asset, as you've been claiming, for the Progressive Democrats of America and other organizations, as well as to industry personnel, just and only due to the sheer size of his site,most of which was underwritten by the Democratic Party anyway. OpEdNews, however, becomes less important with each passing day.

"Finally, if I’m hearing correctly, you may be expecting a certain individual of this confederation of radio entertainers to follow through on certain promises made over the last year regarding co-publication of Veritas Vampirus on his website. I have to warn you that you may not want to hold your breath on that. It’s a ploy. I know you like the guy, but he’s also a tool of the Progressive Democrats of America. Just sayin’. I'm sure I don't need to inform you that you can expect few friends from this ship of well-meaning fools and hypocrites…and occasionally a few true good people."

ROB KALL, IDIOT – Pt. 1

Just One Moron, The True Face of the Entire “Left”

I probably should first say that I’m a little surprised some readers have been demanding the return of the Rob Kall Pillory Fest. You bastards are even more fucked up than I am. I’d’ve thought I’d beaten that subject all the way through to China. On the other hand, the beetle-browed reptile is unquestionably all too emblematic of everything characterizing the “Left”, bafflingly a central figure in the Infauxtaining Brotherhood, and probably the best indicator of the entire group’s true central LCD IQ and mindset. At any other time, I would’ve thought the “Left” smarter than that, but I’ve since learned better, waaaaaay better, too often to my dismay. I suspect what’s beneath reader sentiment arises from what’s daily more intimately seen as the crushing emptiness and venality – over and above innumerable extremely disturbing corporate allegiances - of the Democratic Party and every single one of its goosestepping subsidiaries, within which dwelleth an infauxtaining arm vigorously protesting it belongeth not while trotting out one Democrat after another as friend, peer, and ally...save for venues like OpEdNews.com and BradBlog, who favor so-called conservatives and conservo conversos (see the 5/2/12 edition of BradBlog for yet another in an unbelievably lengthy string of conservatives ballyhooed by BB, then look back upon his substitutions in The Mike Malloy Show, where he invited on - you guessed it! - conservative after conservative after conservative [ironically even on the day I called in, covered in depth in earlier issues here]).

Let me re-emphasize that, as it’s important: where they could easily have had Michael Parenti, Chris Hedges, William Black, Richard Wolff, Noam Chomsky, Gore Vidal, Angela Davis, Black Panthers, Russ Means, and any of thousands of true Lefties or neoLefties in for a good deal of air time, something the aforenamed would have been more than happy to contribute in order to educate listeners to an alternative to the Repub/Dem duopoly, to the oligarch’s carefully cultured true nature of the two bodies, to the underlying meaning and evils of capitalism, to any of thousands of issues crucial to the people’s ability to know and *act* (the prevention of especially the lattermost is the true function of the “Left”). Instead they trotted through Democratic Party approved figures: Naomi Klein, super criminals John Perkins and Wendell Potter, and any number of informed intelligent people who delivered impotent critiques of business and Capitalism. Impotent? Yes. For instance, did you ever once hear Naomi Klein offer a contrast to disaster capitalism other than capitalism itself in a Thom Hartmannian recitation of reform, a return to what got us here in the first place, the near entirety of it sotto voce? You did not, and you won’t, and that’s why she and they were approved. Neither Klein nor Potter nor Perkins nor any of the “Left’s” “controversial” figures will for a moment entertain true critical thinking despite enormous gifts. Those gifts are precisely what they sell to the Establishment in return for exposure, saturation, celebrity, and cashola within The Machine.

Did I say “true critical thinking”? I did. But…but…but doesn’t the ”Left” indulge in true critical thinking?!?! It does not. It never has. It never will. If it did, it would have to declare itself instead of hiding in this craven “I have no political position and we all have to join together!” meme presently being spouted, a variant of the post-Bush conservative dodge of non-affiliation proclamation in the most bizarre collectivist transvestitism apres le deluge. In fact, in V.V., critical thinking will be the subject of a future essay series on modern education and its ills. I’ve just finished several years of tutoring clients involved in what’s called “distance education”, the institutionally approved new euphemism for ‘online education’ - that is to say: education completely owned by business interests. I’ve engaged in it from community college levels all the way up to Masters degrees, and am now quite aware of its pluses and minuses. I feel qualified to speak to them, and the most glaring defect I’ve noted is the same defect there in terms of a critical thinking it shouts to the eaves but does absolutely nothing to instill is what's killing our society in every aspect: our mentality is intimately controlled and most of us aren’t even vaguely aware of the deepest, yet plainest, seeds of it all.

The purpose of analysis is not to cast oneself into the Mushy Middle but to divine a path of rectitude away from the centrism of indecision, from fence-sitting, from industrious nothingness, from meaningless palaver (the living epitome of infauxtaining), and all such things, but let me give away the ghost a little bit in pre-revealing the core matter:

The key to all critical thinking is dialectics, and almost no one indulges in it save the true Left. Dialectics is in fact the spine of real Leftism, and this is why Malloy, Rhodes, Maddow, Friedman, every single non-Right talking head will not entertain it for a moment. They're about as Left as Rush Limbaugh.

It’s a rare individual who knows how to set up a dialectical disquisition, even though it’s easier ‘n shit, or who, knowing the process, will engage his core being with it. Cary Harrison is one of them, though you can expect to see him back off it pronto in the coming days, as the "Left" collapses and paychecks get increasingly scarce. Ron Kuby seems to be another. Lionel, as far as I can tell, also tends to be such a person while drawing immense humor from his factotum job as what appears to be a Leftie hiding out as a “Leftie”. Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, Ed Schultz, Thom Hartmann, Rachel Maddow, Brad Friedman, the entire rest of the spectrum, save for Marc Maron and a few others, none of these people engage in dialectics. Most of them wouldn’t know how to – Hartmann and Maddow excepted, but people who eschew such rigor because it’s far more profitable to toe the Dem line.

Wanna know what the dialectical process is? I’ve laid it out before, but it bears repeating: all you have to do is pick something and then argue its opposite against it, arriving at a two-column list of the strengths and weaknesses of each. That’s really all dialectics is. That’s why the ‘di-‘ occurs in the word. ‘Di-‘ means ‘two’. It’s initially a black and white proposition under which all the greys arise, in which in fact *everything* arises and must account for itself. It is accountability incarnate when done right, the last exercise the rulers ever want you conducting, and the “Left” is only too happy to oblige that. The reason this is so has one and only one germ seed: if you posit capitalism, you have to argue socialism against it, and capitalism will lose...every...single...time, bar none. Allowing the masses to think in such terms would cause a massive shift in perception and spell the end of capitalism. Thus the “Left” never engages in dialectics. Never has. Does not now. Never will. Because the first order of the day would have to be class analysis, and the final result of that would logically usher in the first world era of true Humanism. This would forever vanquish advantagism and inheritances (the latter being the surviving form of divine rights), and the “Left” dearly does not want that to occur. Instead, they envy and covet the positions The Masters underwrote them to desire, just like their erstwhile hero, Bill Clinton, endlessly maneuvering for a place at the royal table or in the barony (success!, Clinton’s now received more after-Presidency monies than all the other Presidents combined, personal worth estimated at well over $100 mil, his bonus for passing GATT and other treasons). They know the game, the "Let" does, and, if you listen to it, you obviously do not.

With Thom Hartmann advocating his listeners to a takeover of the Democratic Party, a suggestion about as sane as advising an atheist to become a priest, rabbi, or imam in order to reform the outrages of Christianity, Judaism, and Islamism; with Mike Malloy reneging on his many times publicly aired promise to forever quit the Dems were Obama’s health care bill not to include a substantial public option (which it never has and never will) - not to mention the gent’s weird “Malloy socialism” (an oxymoron); and with Randi Rhodes shrilly inveighing that she “is not a Party partisan!!!!!!” just before audio-fellating Barack Obama in tandem with Stephanie Miller, both lauding his “endless achievements” as we fight multiple wars, the economy worsens, jobs and businesses are crashing, a true Depression looms after 4 fucking years of his malignant captaincy, and God only knows what else; with all the others gabbling about the endless sinister doings emerging daily from beneath the proliferatingly leviathan Orwellian media Right and “Left” whitewash they earn their pay through…………amid all that, bottom dwellers like Kall are becoming ever more illuminated as fetid snakes. That disease flows upwards and the resemblances between him and his confreres – that is to say: the entire “Left” – grow daily, exponentially. In the end, it's just a matter of one mouth speaking, but with a split personality complex.

But, ahhhhhhhh!, this is a good thing. It makes identification of the fell and the fellatrices so much easier amid all the divertive blather.

Fortunately, though, Kall’s bringing down his cohorts, brothers, and sisters with him as he and his vanity press, OpEdNews.com, plunge down the ratings and the polls. That’s an even better event. Best, I think, to scour the environment entirely clean than to let cancers fester and re-infect. But this is also an irony. As the Leftyish flounce and flounder, maddened that they’re circling the drain, pulling out hair, wondering how on Earth this could be happening, the words of myself and too few others come echoing much too faintly to their darting eyes, ears, minds, and tongues: “Ya shoulda cleaned house long ago, ya pathetic goddamned dorks!”. As with Air America and other venues, since “Lefties” couldn’t be bothered to attend to business in the latrine wherein OEN dwells, the toilet overran and mucked up the United States. It’s still doing so and will not stop until such personalities quit abetting their own demise. The Infauxtaining Brotherhood smells something awful in the air, their eyes smart at the pungency of it, they can’t quite figure out why all this brown stuff is now neck-deep, yet they’re pretty sure it’s just an illusion. Possessing not the foggiest how readily Kall attaches to Malloy attaches to Friedman attaches to Doyen and so on unto the least of the daisy chain…not that the latter aren’t capable of their own fuckups, but there ya go…they run in circles, crazed from other’s and their own blindered “knowledges”. It makes for a hilarious-while-sad show for the few of us who know reality from consensus, from sheeplism.

I‘d intended to return to Kall sooner or later, so now’s as good a time as any. For the very newest readers, here’s the lowdown: Veritas Vampirus is a direct result of Rob Kall’s OpEdNews.com. That’s not the shameful thing it should logically be. Years ago, I started writing arts critiques at OEN and then, later, at Kall’s suggestion, political commentary. By far the worst editor I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing in nearly three decades of being published in venues – and trust me, I’ve chanced across some pretty amazing oafs, boordom apparently an entrance trait to the position of publisher or editor – we soon found ourselves at odds, me ousted for insubordination (translation: occupying a position too Left for OEN’s Centrist mediocrity). I immediately started up Veritas, something I’d never even vaguely considered otherwise, reviving my OEN-censored-n-spiked political articles while mounting an attack on the censor himself. That campaign has cost Kall dearly.

In retaliation, he has erased the amassed archived articles I’d penned, arbitrarily violating the only compensation contractually quaranteed every OEN writer. Thus, with the vigilantly vehement and oft venomous, Veritas Vampirus e’er vociferously vowing to vacate vermin from out their vena cava spiderholes, here’s the latest sortie. THIS ISSUE: Perhaps the most interesting element in the Rob Kall Pillory Fest is the fact that absolutely nothing has changed in him or at OpEdNews.com. What I'm chronicling newly is what I'd written up years ago. Not a single thing has changed. Kall still censors like crazy, fires good writers, keeps the oafs, steals work, finds a new noun or adjective for himself every three days, adopts each new fad that trots along, and an avalanche of other bizarre aberrations but most especially makes sure he rules with an iron fist, hondles non-stop for gelt, and draws all attention to himself. Where have we seen this arrested-growth personality type before? That's right: Republicans. And is it me or is he getting stupider by the month? And what's with Malloy hyping OEN more than ever? Is his radio gig really getting THAT bad?

ROB KALL, IDIOT – Pt. 2

Just One Moron, The True Face of the Entire “Left”

On 9/1/10, Kall adopted his 7,53,237,921st trendy sobriquet. Among every other identity so far claimed, he was also now a “locavore”, a neologism not coined by him - he lacks the wit - but which IDs a graze-close-to-home gustatorial “ethic” touted by environmentalists and dimbulbs, though the two are rarely the same, with too much citification in their privileged upbringings, I suspect, as desert dwellers may want to question the wisdom of this reputedly brainiac trendwave: in fact, everyone not adjacent to a farming community might want to assess just what locavoring portends in nuts and bolts living terms, not to mention nutrition needs. Kall wrote that “[t]hat's where we need to be heading. Unfortunately for the scribbler, moles inform me that OEN’s chieftain has ever gorged on fast foods, candy, alcohol, and other no-no’s (I mean, glance at him, f’chrissakes). Such behavior wouldn’t, as far as I can tell from the catalogue so far encountered, fall under the pseudo-holistic rubric by anyone’s definition…except perhaps in the fact that lard-ass bought his supplies at the local liquor store. The lion’s share of his diet, if not all of it, being non-locavore, el jefe’s position is nothing more than a public-consumption stance, the latest in a long line of OEN PR stunts and a balm to sooth that eternal fretting his Republican mind that, no matter what he does, he isn’t hip. When we race forward to June 2011, we’ll find he’s dropped the ruse, in-group tattoo nesting in the waste bin.

9/18/10 saw him huckstering readers to pay for “a new server with a jump from 100 to 1000 MB port speed, from 4 to 8 gigs of RAM, and from a 32 to a 64 bit operating system…250 gig hard drives…3.3 terabytes of bandwidth”, etc. Well, the only life-form I know possessing the chutzpah to ask others to pay its way rather than handle its own is inevitably of the Republican genus, almost always the businessman sub-phylum. Whether this appeal ever saw fulfillment is open to question, as Kall’s script on such things is unremittingly Perils of Pauline-esque, far more dependent on a ‘story-telling’ (fictive) ethos he avidly pursues than any faintest light of truth. In fact, whether these appeals actually ever pay off for Joe and Josephine Public is very much open to question, as Kall enjoys patrons like Thom Hartmann (a school and high society chum, so now you know how he obtained not only the OEN idea but also his unusually rapid portal to familiarity with public hotshots) helping out behind the not-so-watchful notice of the public. Somehow, time after time, Kall’s breathless exhortations always come down to purportedly nail-biting races against the clock inevitably heralding, or so we’re told, the redemptive virtues of a public diving forward in a last-minute saviorship. Insiders and moles inform me it ain’t so, merest fiction, outright lies…if there’s a difference.

What the whole mishigas is, though, is the result of past rip-offs he’s run in the form of writing workshops wherein gaggles of half-talents paid big money while looking for miracle formulas to gain them admittance to a fourth estate that really didn’t want to open the door a crack, all things considered (especially what with applicants’ demonstrably threadbare acumen, shown now clearly in the pages of OEN). We all know of chumps like his clients, you can sell ‘em anything once you figure out their weaknesses. Himself of the exact stripe as those tenth-rate escriting customers, knowledgeable of the ilk intimately, Kall chose the workshop/seminar buncombe as most propitious to his sense of Ponzi scheming, a foolproof flimflam, as there’s no way on Earth a convention can create a writer nor, fortunately for Kall’s legal/business protection, could any subscribee claim subsequent damage après l’ecole except through his own, as Kall would rush to claim, wanting “talent”. There are a lot of like-striped con games out there, amounting to little more than social events for fanboy and fangirl hopefuls ardent to fraternize with true writers or artists, be part of the “in crowd” by virtue of emolument to the gatekeepers. In any other language, Kall’s “seminars” would be called a grift.

The attending real writers receive free meals, lodging, a locale in which to trade war stories or hawk their own side scams (“Obtain professional editing from a renowned expert writer!!!”), a certain amount of pay, and so on. Real money, y’see, layeth in all the moony-eyed dilettantes desperate to *belong*, to feel a part of a group, to think themselves elevated despite LCD talent. Sheeple need to locate a herd and join in the graze, also acquiring a comfortingly illusionary sense of status, ersatz family, whatever it is the poor bastards never got in life otherwise. What better place, to re-emphasize the obvious, than via an adjunct of the arts? That’s where such as Rob Kall lay in wait, soliciting inky snake oil, laying the foundation for OEN, drawing in a slave staff birthed in past customers to such giddy gab-athons…held in extremely pricy Palm Springs and elsewhere. No proletariat he, y’all.

Speaking of high society, as our OEN hobgoblin here is a loose-tool apparatchiki-chiki-choo of the Progressive Democrats of America, itself one of several rich elite segments of the “Left” and its appurtenances, the guy’s never been shy to rope fellow-travelling celebs, near-celebs, and pseudo-celebs into lauding him, his OEN creature, or innumerable gelt drives, so, on 10/3/10, Danny Schechter, dodgily an OEN staff member (a purposely murky status that includes Hartmann, Malloy, and others), wrote a curry-the-rubes piece titled "Marching on Washington: One Nation Listening Together”. As Kall beamingly put it, in the third person, “[g]uess who was the first personality mentioned in [Schechter’s] piece? Yep, Rob Kall”.

Can we say ‘quid pro quo’, boys and girls?

Oy. Should any be querulous regarding the virtues of the ballyhooed Schecter, that pretty much dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s while ickily curling the flaccid tail on the Q’s. OEN’s honcho quoted Danny as saying "Rob Kall of Op-Ed News was turned on by the spirit of the day", and, Christ, fatboy Kall in a state of arousal is an image we most certainly do not want. Schecter, in that clumsy metaphor, was apparently a graduate of one of Kall’s workshops. You can read the rest of what appears to be Kall’s Schecter-ghosted self-aggrandizement on your own among a pathetic catalogue of rhetorical attempts to gussy up the ignominious failure of some ridiculous Dem fete Kall had attended on the OEN reader-dime, Schecter in collaboration. I say go easy on the eyes and brain: pass it by.

Kall receives issues of Veritas Vampirus because I make sure that more than one of his staff members and buddies get them for precisely the reason that they be passed on “conspiratorially”. Thus, he's had read my thoughts in an article wherein I’d pilloried the use of pseudonyms in blogs – or, for that matter, anywhere - as cowardly, a practice thus perfectly in tune with the “Left”. As anticipated, he seized upon the matter and, on 10/4/10, said:

"We've tightened up our rules for the use of pseudonyms. If you use one when you submit content other than comments, you'll be asked to use your real name or to explain WHY you need a pseudonym. So far, many have switched to their real name. Some have submitted applications to keep using their pseudonym. Again, we feel that using your real name is an act of transparency that builds community. But we've approved a number of pseudonyms. We do respect people's concerns about job risk, privacy, etc.”

Sounds more than a little like a section of my own polemic, doesn’t it? Of course, the underlying OEN code was this: if you were a Big Shot, Rob wasn’t going to step on your toes and potentially disparage gelt or gravy train gratis article flow, but were you small potatoes, then shape up or ship out, Buster. Hm, the faintest whiff of hypocrisy mayhaps? Previously, he was happy to publish endless drooling wordhacks under fey nomenclatures; now, immediately upon my diatribe, that became unacceptable. Check V.V. not long before that date, and you’ll see it.

I also have consistently pounded OEN for its support of the Right wing by various devious “innocences” such as “uncontrollable” advertising (um, hey “Left” guys, there’s always the ace card of control in such problems: don’t fucking run it!), so Kall added:

"Do You See Political Ads for Right Wing Candidates on OEN? As a non-profit site, we really can't restrict ads from different candidates. If you see ads for Right wingers, we can't do much with them. Click on them and the right wingers will be paying to support this left wing site - a bit of sweet irony. We CAN restrict message ads regarding positions, like anti-union ads. If you see any ads that you feel are antagonist to our progressive vision, please let me know, including the URL the ad links to.”

“Irony”? Makes you wonder if he knows the definition of the term.

Okay, but what happened to the financial shuck ‘n jive? Glad you asked. On 10/8/10, this ran: “Fifteen Cents: We just passed 28,000 subscribers to our newsletter. If each of them gave $0.15 a month - under $2 a year, we'd have what we need to pay our bills”. Word has it that Mike Malloy gave him that tactic, and, sure enough, Malloy not very many months later re-claimed it for his own, in the launch of his self-described “two-bit” show – intending to mean that if you subscribe to podcasts, you pay 25 cents a day, an irony that proved to have two lives circling around to backfire on him, especially recently. Nothing, however, happens for no reason, and there are no coincidences.

11/11/11 - Rush experienced another

With Water Carrying Moment well after The Bush Disaster and printed the following on his website:

"…if it weren't for MSNBC we wouldn't have any liberal sound bites. I've told Cookie I'm sick of it, ban MSNBC, and we can't, 'cause there's no other place to get liberal sound bites. There isn't any other place. I mean CNN is just insane over there. They emphasize their hosts, they have guests, but just roll tape on 'em and it's so boring. It's not worth putting anything from CNN on the air. If it weren't for MSNBC there wouldn't be any liberal sound bites. Now, that has to mean something. That has to mean that they're rare, that they're not everywhere. They may be everywhere in print, but, you know, left-wingers on the radio, genuine cuckoo's nest. You wouldn't even want to go there. I wouldn't play that stuff. MSNBC's it, and it's two shows or three shows. It's it is morning thing with Scarborough, it's the Larry O'Donnell show at night, and maybe occasionally something from Reverend Sharpton. (interruption) Well, yeah, sometimes Sergeant Schultz. Sergeant Schultz is out there walking amongst abandoned railroad cars looking for the future of America. I know there's Al Gore's channel, but that's nothing worth highlighting. It really says something. MSNBC is the only place in the media to get these liberals."

This is, of course, an admission that there’s no liberal bias in TV media whatsoever. Note please that King Asshole is talking about television. John K. Wilson picked up the snippet at Daily Kos, and David Atkins grabbed it for Hullabaloo. In doing so, however, he somehow magically transformed it to Rush talking about all media (Davey, that snipe at the Radio "Left" was just a face-slap, not an inclusion in the argument) because Limbaugh's brilliantly fanatical but oft sloppy exposition kept transitioning between TV citations and media in general…or maybe it wasn't so sloppy and he meant to capture people like Atkins. How, we may wonder, could he be so successful?

Well, Atkins considers Ed Schultz, the "Sergeant Schultz" (of Hogan’s Heroes) Limbaugh's referring, to be "very liberal". That's right: Ed Schultz, according to Dave Atkins, is very liberal. And how do we know this? Because the "very liberal" AlterNet stole Atkins piece from Hullaballoo and reprinted it – don’t look for sanity here - and perhaps more for this chuckle-inducing observation: "NPR hosts talk about ants and balanced viewpoints in that quiet, trademarked, slightly condescending tone NPR has become famous for" than anything else. Yeah, NPR, that very liberal organization. Thus, all in all, proof positive, right?

Too funny. And the "Left" wonders why I attack even its most blameless members.

11/14/11, Coast 2 Coast - "Host John B. Wells was joined by renegade historian Douglas Dietrich for Sunday's full 4 hour program. He revealed a variety of information not told to the American public about WWII and subsequent conflicts. As a Defense Dept. research librarian at the Presidio Military Base in San Francisco, he was responsible for incinerating highly classified materials on critical historical topics such as Pearl Harbor, and these documents served as a source for some of the data he shared. 'There's no denying that the world is far different than what we've come to understand. Everyone looks on WWII as this good war, this fairy tale war, with a big bang ending', but it really was more like Viet Nam with aspects lingering for years after 1945, noting that a peace treaty wasn't signed with Japan until 1951.

"At the end of WWII, the United States had 27 million citizens in uniform, the entire country was militarized, and the military didn't want their power and control to end, so they kept it going with wars in Korea and Viet Nam and the continuation of the draft. Interestingly, Dietrich contended that the Japanese had developed nuclear bombs (aided by Jewish scientists they had resettled in Oblast), and after Nagasaki, they used these nuclear weapons to stop the Soviets in what is now the Korean demilitarized zone.

"The Germans also had developed a nuclear bomb and fired an atomic warhead in Estonia that stopped the Soviets cold; a mushroom cloud that was a full kilometer in diameter with continuous internalization of combustion led to electronic interference with instruments all the way back in London. Commenting on why the American public had never learned of these bombings, he said you're only 'told enough of the truth to uphold the lie'. Dietrich also spoke about Emperor Hirohito's usage of biological weapons and submarines."

11/17/11, Randi Rhodes Show - While gasping at the police brutalities against OWS, Rhodes cannot restrain herself from trying to diminish the movement, suggesting they give up and go home.

11/21/11, Randi Rhodes Show - Completely reversing her position after disastrously ripping up OWS on Friday, Rhodes is now 110% sympathetic to the cause. Problem: it was the Davis pepper-spraying that, or so she silently averred, moved her. Question: that was merely the latest in an onslaught of criminalities…what was so offensive now that wasn't offensive before? Next question: was Rhodes’ sympathy true or just a tactic to buy back her fuck-up in revealing a basically soft Conservative, nature? Last question: did I even need to ask?

As always, I invite anyone to disprove my assertions, inferences, and juxtapositions of disturbing contradictions. I'll ‘ere long get to how fractionated, backstabbing, but silently abettive the "Left" figureheads are among each other, all in order to preserve profitable places in a crumbling structure shedding alumni daily. Keep in mind such individuals as John Edwards. He's one of the tells. Also keep in mind the Veritas Vampirus revelation of the "Left" grail: Paycheck Friday, always and forever Paycheck Friday. “Lefties” criticize the Right for the exact same circumstances they and their own are guilty of, then scream bloody murder when any dare investigate the "Left's" dirty laundry as critically as the "Left" digs into the Right's. I call it basest hypocrisy. Is there another word for it that I and Roget are unaware of?

11/21/11, Coast 2 Coast - While the entire Radio "Left" barely even paid heed, Rightie KFI was running this on the JFK assassination:

"In a four-hour special on Monday night, three guests offered their theories and research regarding the JFK assassination. In the first half, attorney Mark Lane presented his conclusion that the CIA plotted the murder of JFK. Lane, who personally knew Pres. Kennedy, immediately became suspicious of the claims that Oswald acted alone. With the emergence of the Zapruder film, showing a bullet hitting JFK from behind, the official story didn't make sense to him. In his interview with witness Jean Hill, she suggested that the fatal gunshot came from a 'grassy knoll' on Dealey Plaza, and it was through Lane's repeating this phrase to reporters that 'grassy knoll' came into the vernacular.

"Two men were seen coming out of the Book Depository building right after the shooting, were stopped by police, and showed secret service credentials. The men were given these credentials by a special group within the CIA, said Lane. The CIA, which was known for planning the assassinations of heads of state, had, according to Pres. Truman, 'become a danger to America', and JFK and his brother Robert were planning on disbanding the organization before he was killed. The CIA functions as a 4th branch of government, operates without oversight, and is actually more powerful than the other branches, Lane warned.

"In the third hour, investigative reporter, Barry Ernest, discussed his decades-long search for a woman who witnessed the JFK assassination from a window in the Book Depository: Victoria Adams. When he found her after 35 years, she confirmed that after she heard the gunshots, she and another witness headed down the stairs, but they did not run into Oswald. This is significant because it indicates that the timing of events as described in the official story was not accurate in terms of when Oswald went downstairs, he explained, adding that the Warren Commission tried to discredit her testimony.

"In the last hour, historian Cassie Parnau shared her investigation into What's My Line panelist and gossip columnist Dorothy Kilgallen's untimely and suspicious death that followed her research into the JFK assassination. Kilgallen was one of the first to say there was something fishy about the Warren Commission's conclusions and announced she had the biggest scoop yet in the JFK case just before dying from an overdose of pills and alcohol. While Kilgallen did have a substance abuse problem, Parnau doubts she would have killed herself before breaking such a big story. Her files have never been found, including an unpublished interview she did with Jack Ruby during his trial."

…and while the Radio "Left" barely even knows who William Black is, KFI ran this, also on Coast 2 Coast:

"In the first half of Sunday's show, Associate Professor of Economics and Law William Black joined George Knapp for a discussion on how our economic crisis has been brought about by deliberate fraud on the part of banks involved in real estate loans. The household losses in this crisis are estimated at a staggering 11 trillion dollars, he reported (by comparison, the S & L crisis of the 1980s was contained at $150 billion, he noted). Accounting fraud was carried out by mortgage bankers and affiliates of banks that weren't subject to governmental regulation. They issued what he called 'liar's loans' that were guaranteed to provide huge bonuses for executives while setting up home owners to certain failure when the real estate bubble burstd.

"Many predatory mortgage brokers targeted poor people and minorities, inflating appraisals and debt-to-income ratios in order to qualify them for the loans. By 2006, there were over two million cases of this type of fraud a year, and banks were selling their problematic loans to Wall St. under false pretenses, said Black, who added that we could be looking at an even more intensified financial crisis down the road because the way government has responded to the crisis, such as the bank bailout, has made matters worse. 11/22/11 - From a well-known media personality I can't name, I received this comment: "You know, having subscribed for a relatively short time, even I was beginning to wonder if you weren't just endlessly airing an intelligent form of sour grapes, but I'm now seeing that what you’re doing is practicing a strange kind of fact / gossip / opinion / critique / revenge style of journalism that I'm not sure anyone's quite attempted before. I think that’s what prompted me to start to view it in the wrong light, that sometimes striking and unsettling hybridization. Anyone even contemplating your mode would most likely leave it untried because the popular sentiment would take a mistaken view, as I did. But the most fanatical of the walking wounded would never spend several years and 600+ issues of writing doing what you're doing; it has to be accomplished through honor and principal. As as to the revenge element, I have to regretfully say I more and more am coming to agree with you that it is nothing more or less than justice."

My interest in this lay in the coining of "fact/gossip/opinion/critique" in regard of V.V. I'd never quite thought of it that way, but that's a pretty good conflation. I’m not sure the order of magnitude is right, if that’s what was meant, I suspect it was just what came to mind, but I ain’t arguing it either.

12/5/11, Thom Hartmann Show - Well, it's official: Thom's a tool. Even I was astonished as a caller phoned in to complain about an upcoming legislation vote to allow the president to incarcerate any US citizen for life upon an allegation of belonging to Al Que'da (the reasoning-base given in one of at least two versions of the bill). The caller was irritated it was even happening, but barely able to get a few sentences in when Hartmann cut him off, began a breathless spiel explaining his limpid take on the issue for the umpteen billionth repetition of an already overfamiliar recitation, accusing the caller of "hysteria", rushing to mediate that, and then agreeing with several points the gent never even had the chance to posit while silently cutting him off, moving quickly to the next shill.

Now, were you to confront Hartmann with this, he'd blink doe-eyed, explain it was a mistake, say he wasn't quite awake yet (the call was in the final half hour of the show), claim jet lag, or God only knows what, but, c'mon, are we that gullible? His audience certainly is, 'cause they've been taking increasing levels of this schtick for years, but anyone with a grain of intelligence, upon the thousandth or more repetition has to be at least suspicious. I, on the other, hand am now convinced beyond conviction.

12/5/11, Mike Malloy - Malloy went on and on, rightly so, regarding the new Clear Channel actions to trash out progressive programming in San Francisco…and soon elsewhere. He's on his high horse now, as he should be, when, much earlier, his mouth was welded shut when I and others were criticizing his old alma mater, Air America, and its refusal to squarely look at this same problem within its own corporate structure. NOW he's in a lather and rampaging; before this, he couldn't be quiet enough. I hocked him and all the others over this, predicting exactly what’s now happening, and this is one of many things that changed his attitude from "fucking loving" V.V. to labeling me a "fascist". I stopped paying attention long ago.

12/9/11, Randi Rhodes Show - Randi today announced that she would no longer play Belle Barth's "Bounce Your Boobies" as the prelude to her Friday gig. She's been playing it for 15 years and is now claiming that's much too long. Clarification, Randi: it's 14 years and 51 weeks too long.

12/9/11, Coast 2 Coast - "The Living Universe: On Thursday's show, internationally recognized speaker, author, and social visionary, Duane Elgin, discussed how biology and physics show that the universe is not dead but rather uniquely alive, an insight which, he shows, is in harmony with all of the world’s major spiritual traditions. Plato said the universe is a single living creature that embraces all living creatures within it. Indeed, the universe is a whole, integrated system, with an infinite amount of energy flowing through it, he said.

"Interestingly, quantum physics has pointed toward probabilities and uncertainties at the very foundation of reality. This quality of choice or freedom is part of the free will that living creatures have, he noted. Science is finding consciousness up and down the cosmic spectrum, starting at the level of an atom, which makes certain kinds of choices, Elgin pointed out. Another character of a living creature is the ability to reproduce, and recent theories have proposed that black holes may be shooting out matter to create a 'Big Bang' that spawns a new universe, he added.

"Elgin outlined various stages of humanity's transitions & evolution, as we are at a pivotal time with increased difficulties from climate, the economy, and other factors. Humanity has matured from its childhood as hunter-gatherers, moving to its adolescence as a species on the edge of a planetary civilization, and is now ready to move past "parental institutions" that have held sway, he said. The unprecedented revolution in global communications are creating a kind of global brain that will support the awakening of our collective consciousness, and move into adulthood, as we tackle global challenges, he continued."

12/13/11, Thom Hartmann Show - Here's a rhetoric exercise for ya. While arguing with Wayne Root, Hartmann made this statement: "Let me state for the record, I'm not a part of the 1%!" That's the statement. Simple words. Only 13 of 'em. Seem pretty damned official, too, don't they? Authoritative. Realizing his error just in saying that, however, he came on later and made one of the most incoherent rambles I've ever heard out of him, first regarding "liberty", for whatever reason he supposed was pertinent, and then "authority". I’m quite sure he understood just how Romneyesque he, Thom the multi-multi-multi-millionaire, sounded, and was abashed. How many ways can we spell ‘liar’.

12/13/11, TruthOut - While I'm continuing a crusade against capitalism, at the moment engaged with Friedman and Canning, whose arguments are becoming increasingly imbecilic, I can't help but notice how many outside elements are stacking up, silently or otherwise, against Brad & Ernie Inc. and their position. Here's Truthout's headline today: "Capitalism Is the Enemy of Democracy‏". Comments, Brad? Ernie?
